Solid item. Good price
Great item as described on the site. The main issue I had like some of the other reviews was removing the rubber bung in the end. This is purely due to not owning many of these types of tools and not knowing how to remove it.For those who want to purchase this, don't be put off by the reviews of this bung.So some basic instructions, you have to cut with wire cutters part of the plastic off which will then enable you to twist the top to the open position and then pull the bung out. Do not break the top off.It is a good item, held the spark plug in firmly but I found not to push spark plug in all the way as it was hard to remove the socket once fully tightened, as it kept coming off the extension handle. Probably poor quality handle.I would recommend this item

Good.
Good, solid bit - will last forever for DIY use given the infrequency of spark plug changes. Even if you're a mechanic, this should last until retirement.

Too good at gripping spark plugs
Summary Advice: Don't put the spark plugs fully into the socket when installing.I had to down-rate this item as it got stuck on the spark plugs a few times when installing with an extension bar which made me take more than double the time to change all 8 spark plugs on my car.I had to use the extension bar and force it at an angle before attempting to pull it out whenever it got stuck. The rubber slipped off a few times onto the spark plugs too, which I fortunately noticed while trying to test it by hand. I had to force it back and thankfully didn't happen when I was installing. This wouldn't happen if I didn't force the spark plugs into the socket.I would recommend if you wish to do spark plugs by yourself as it's quite cheap. Should be good for a few times, but wouldn't recommend for extensive use. Also the packaging is quite simple to remove, just twist and pull out. Take care as you may end up cut if you do it incorrectly.

Follow the instructions for removing the packaging.
Just what my hubby needed for replacing the spark plugs in our car. Some people have struggled with removing the plastic packaging. If you look on the side, it shows you a pair of snipper pliers, with the word ‘cut’ - cut the plastic above the gap at each side, as shown. Then it shows you which way to turn the plastic, using grip pliers, and the whole thing comes away easily.
