I got this because I wanted something new for a bath mat and thought this would be a nice change.The first one I got came in a box with a light thin foam sheet wrapped around it. The box itself was not damaged, but the mat came scratched up and with a crack. And on the first step, the area with the crack broke all the way through.I returned the original one and the replacement came. The replacement one looked a bit better but still had cracks and scuff marks. And like the first one, 1 step on it and it broke...just like the first one.So overall - can't recommend this mat. The mat says it should hold up to 300lbs, but the 2 we got broke when less than 200lbs was placed on it. It has potential, the non slip was perfect, and it looks good...but the breaking of the "slates" can cause pinching and splinters, and you never know when the next slate will break.

Looks good and real wood. It doesn't seem the most sturdy of products. We're less than 200lbs and get the occasional creak when stepping on the wrong place.Also we get some slippage on our tiles when the floor is wet. Nothing major just something to be careful.Also the color seeped out onto our white tiles. I think it's from the wood (rather than rust from the hinges) and it did wipe off easily but a bit disappointed with that. It could be a "it's still new" thing so I will update if it continues to bleed.

I was immediately impressed upon unboxing this matt. The wood is very nice quality and has a rich color. It feels sturdy to stand on. It’s very easy to use as there’s nothing to assemble, all you have to do is unfold it and put it down where you want it. The wood is nicely sanded and treated so it’s comfortable to stand on. I’m not sure what its weight limit is so if you are a very big person, I might proceed with caution. But so far I am very happy with this matt and give it five stars.

Ours lasted a week before it began to fall apart. Woodgrain is located across very short pieces which leads to early failure. Not recommended. Returned the pieces to Amazon.

The glue joints crack and fell apart and the wood warped.

I didn't give this 5 stars because I'm very worried that it's going to break. My husband is 6'5," 250lb, & when he stepped on it, it kept cracking. He didn't want to break it, so we moved it into the bathroom that only I use. I'm 5'4", 130lbs & it pops loud every time I step on it too. If the weight limit is under 130, that's not for most people. However, it could be that it's just going to pop every time someone steps on it. (When I say pop, I mean it sounds like it's cracking and breaking.) It even popped when my 70lb son stepped on it, so maybe that's just what it does. I've checked it over and there are no cracks or anything so far, and we've used it several times a day (probably 8-10 including when we have to step on it to reach things in the room) for 4 days. The wood bathmat is cute if you have wood this color in your bathroom. I just really liked it when I saw it, so I got it, but the wood in my bathroom is darker. It's also really big for my master bathroom, which is pretty small. If you have a large bathroom, this would be perfect for you. My husband was also worried about the water dripping through. Personally, I dry myself (even my feet) before stepping out of the shower, so it's not an issue for me. It is for my husband and son though. If you don't get completely dry before you step out, this wouldn't be right for you either.
