just received my lights from brightech lighting in Hollywood, Ca. They traveled 3000 miles to the suburbs of Bucks County Pa. Everything was in perfect condition! As usual, it takes longer to unpack it, than to put it together. This is a GOOD thing. Amazon knows how to pack for long distance. My wife and I had a picture in our minds of the lighting we needed for our new home. Brightech read our minds! These lights look simple enough, but the electronics and design are very innovative. I believe the transformer that comes with it, kicks down 120 volts to 12 volts since the bulb is LED. The top portion is a circuit in itself. As soon as it touches the base, it lights. It really is plug and play. It has 3 light settings, but the lowest is sufficient. I got all new furniture for the living room and kitchen, but everyone comments on the lights first. They claim the bulb will last 20 years. I guess time will tell. We couldn't be happier with our purchase!!

Very easy set up as others have mentioned. Great bright light. My SO thought too bright. Voila, went to lowest dim setting, all good.Excellent for reading, as I age I find myself needing more light to comfortably read. This is high enough to stay out of your vision but bright enough to be an excellent reading lamp.The lamp is very minimalist which is a big plus in terms of not being intrusive in the room. However will bounce and flex a little as you turn on and off. No big deal.The box it ships in is sort of a PITA to unpack. Don't get frustrated and break something. Once out of the box, it's great.

I received this lamp on a Sunday and promptly put it together. Putting it together is easy and the lamp looks great. However, the power button does not work, so in order to turn the lamp on or off you need to plug or unplug it from the wall. This is difficult if the plug is behind furniture. Furthermore, the lamp is advertised as dimmable. There was no dimming feature on the lamp I received. The seller, Brightech, includes a card with a contact email address in the event you are not happy with your purchase. I emailed them with the above comments and 3 business days later I have not received a response. The way it is packaged, makes it difficult to send back. I would need to purchase a large box and padding. I would not recommend purchasing this lamp or from this seller as I will likely be donating this lamp.

A very nice light for the price. Seller description is accurate. I find that I use lowest brightness setting the most, It lights up a room well. The base weighed 9 lbs. by itself, very stable unless you are swinging around the light to fast. It pivots 360 degrees. the arch has no pivot, the shade has up to 60 degrees. Some people say the dimmer control does not work, it does, but you have to use a whisper touch, do not push direct, but slide finger up and down lightly along the switch.

I bought this for living room. It provides a lot of light and I like that I can swing the light around. The dome came bent which is why I gave it only 4 stars, but that didn't bother me enough to return it. And I like that this has a dimmer feature.Update: Changing this from 4 stars to 5 stars. Brightech sent me an email a week ago asking me to write a product review. I told them I already had and that I had given it 4 stars because the dome was bent. I also told them it wasn't a big enough deal for me to bother trying to return it. They asked me for a picture, and after I sent the pic to them, they replied saying they were going to send a replacement.

This lamp is pretty reasonable priced, so I thought to give it a try. And I loved it from the very first moment. Besides modern design, it has 3 modes - bright, middle and low. I use low light a couple hours before going to bad - helps my eyes to relax in advance.

Gorgeous lamp. I was a little afraid of it not being stable, but it has a very sturdy base and doesn't tip over even when swiveling the light around. Very easy assembly as well. The three different light modes are great.
