Joins only very small gauge wire.
I have used only C-type hog ring pliers in the past to join wire bunny fencing to my plastic deer fence. It works but the oval staples pull loose unless you have lots of them. So, I though I’d try an M type. The ring it creates is circular and much stronger, but also much smaller — too small for hog panel fencing but good for wire fencing and other thin gauge materials. I find the perpendicular track for the staples more difficult than my M-type to get in close to the work but I can see that it might be an advantage in some situations. The gun itself works well and reliably. Working with bare hands for the entire morning, I find the handles are not as smooth as they could be. I have filed off the ridge on the plastic handles to avoid blisters.

Love their function
Love these but we always lose the last few in a strip of these fasteners.

These are junk
I was only able to use them for a little bit before it started to malfunction. I wasted so many staples and so much patience with this thing, it almost got thrown across the yard a few times. It's a good concept though so I'll be returning these and looking for another brand.

Join wire with ease.
I’m so happy. This is perfect. Well, no instructions for loading the rings were included, but there is a picture and instructions on the product page. It’s almost all I can do to keep from running around putting these on everything. The only thing that stops me is thinking about taking them off later. The rings/staples are sturdy. The tool is easy enough to squeeze together, even old people can manage it. Now I can build trellises and cages and things that will look professional. Happy. Happy.
