Five Tibetans Brilliantly Enhanced To The Next Level.
I discovered the incredible Five Tibetan Rites and purchased the Peter Kelder book with VHS video many years ago. Recently, I moved home and had lots of stuff in storage including the book and video. I wanted to share the information with a friend so I resorted to You Tube and was horrified at the number of videos that have butchered the system missing vitally important movements and breathing motions. Carolinda Witt has stuck with the original but added some subtle yet powerful upgrades through her years of practical experience. Her illustrated instructional book is easy to read and shows you the correct way to practice this amazing process that simply works. If you are considering doing the Five Rites or are already doing the Five Rites make sure you read this book to reap the full benefits. Five Stars!

Cannot recommend
I cannot in all good conscience recommend this book. No doubt the author has put quite a bit of effort into it, but it is not a good introduction to the Five Tibetans. The illustrations leave much to be desired, and the structure of the book does as well. She talks about "warm-ups" and warm-up exercises but one gets the impression she is doing this to avoid possible suits in case someone picks up the book and jumps, willy-nilly, into attempting to do the Five Tibetans right away and ends up hurting themselves. When you go through the book you almost get to the point of expecting to have to sign on a dotted line somewhere absolving the author of any responsibility should you suffer any injuries. No doubt the author is well meaning in her attempt to introduce the Five Tibetans to a wider audience, but it is clear that she has added various things that are not in the original teachings. Read the original book by Peter Kelder.

Good reference, except for the photos.
Well written and extraordinarily detailed, this is a fine reference work for the serious practitioner. It's only drawback is that the photos are undersized and of exceedingly poor quality for such an otherwise excellent book.

An in depth exploration of an ancient practice
I love how she carefully made each step practical and broke down each one so the practice is accessible to nearly everyone in some fashion

So well-written
This book is meticulously written to provide information on how to correctly do these five rituals and they work! If you're older, or easing into a fitness routine, this is wonderful. You have to build up to the required repetition, the spin movement is especially challenging for me. I love that you can do these exercises at home and they aren't time consuming. They provided muscle toning and flexibility and are a great way to keep fit. It also increases my sense of balance, a factor you don't often see addressed in many fitness tapes. The older you are, the more important it is to have balance and prevent injuries. I also find it relieves stress.I recommend giving it a try, it's different and can be as easy or as challenging as you want.

Excellent book, I had suffered from back pain for ...
Excellent book, I had suffered from back pain for over 10 years when I learned about the 5 Tibetan Rites. I have been doing the exercises for over 3 years and no more back pain. At 59, I perform the exercises every day and really look forward to them when complete I feel so relaxed and content. The book is very well written taking you step by step through each exercise breaking down each movement to ensure you are performing correctly. This approach takes a bit longer but reduces the risk of doing the exercises incorrectly and avoiding strain. In conjunction with the DVD an excellent programme I've recommend to many friends and family

Good book
a .well described book about the Tibetan Rites and what the benefits are. Also advice on starting the rites and the right way to perform them.Illustrations could have been larger but overall a good description of the practice. Daily practice is recommended and they take at most 15-20 mins if not less depending on the person. Ive only just started them and have taken the authors advice--- build up the repetitions slowly.

Tiny text in places
Some of the text was too small to read, only in some tabled, but it was a little irritating. Read in a few hours. Explains the subject matter very well.
