Fit for a King
Looks good, plain and simple design.Good fit to existing loo but the fixings could be better designed in that the bolts are on the thin side.I understand that they need to fit several different diameter of holes but, for the cost of the seat (fairly expensive) the manufacturers could have supplied a series of rubber grommets (pennies to make) to reduce the amount of potential movement of the bolts, in the holes.The other problem is in the design. If by chance you forget that it is a self-closing toilet seat and you inadvertently push the seat too far down, you are greeted with a squeal that would not be out of place in a creepy old haunted house.AND to make matters worse this squeal persists when the seat is opened and shut for many a use thereafter.This is not the sort of seat that you would want in a guestroom or downstairs cloakroom as the number of different visitors would have the seat squeaking continually.

A well made seat, but let down badly by poor fixings and POOR AFTER SALES SERVICE, which leaves a lot to be desired.
Toilet seat was very hard to fit and now it slips as it cannot be tightened any further. We have contacted the manufacturer, BEMIS, who does not really have the best customer service in the world shall we say - all they could offer was the same fixing kit that came with the seat!!! ...as they don't have any additional parts to send to me to stop the seat moving on the pan. In our view this should be included in the actual product as it evidently is a known issue. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE BEMIS!!The answer is the conical rubber bung type fixing kit that can be bought aftermarket. But why should we pay for this, when we paid over £30 for the seat in he first place!!!If you care about your customers BEMIS, please could we be sent this free of charge!

Bemis or no Bemis?
I bought a Bemis seat at our last house and loved it. Went to buy two of the same type again and this is slightly different, probably my fault. This has standard fittings, not the snapping one the old one had so you knew you had the correct torque.My main gripe is one seat has the Bemis brand name printed on it and the other doesn't?! Bit strange, especially for the price...

Don’t purchase this seat
Had 1 then it broke , replaced then 2nd 1 broke (I’m definitely not a large guy ) these are the only toilet seats that have ever broken while in use , money back will never purchase again .

Poor quality.
Bought two, which when first fitted seemed solid enough. Both seats have snapped across their width. We are not big people by European standards, so this mustamount to a product/materials fault. Would not buy again.
