Lotta on Troublemaker Street

The product came quickly and as expected. New condition, not bent at all. This is a super cute book for kids! I remember loving it as a kid, and I reread it now as an adult, and I still love it lol. Recommend!

My children love this book and so I bought what I could find on amazon. Be aware that Lotta makes a mess is the same. This is new the other one was used. We like this new cover better.

Can't wait to read this with my kindergarten granddaughter .....How I loved reading this to her mom,too. We are collecting "real" and iPad books from our child's days to share with the next generation. This is a loving book about Lotta, who embraces love,curiosity, and age- appropriate trouble, and comes to her own conclusions (with clever and loving family help). Not another trite Barbie/tinkerbell/fairy tale. This is the real stuff good childrens' literature is made of, split infinitive aside.

My children enjoy reading Astrid Lindgren's books. My 6 year old daughter especially loves the 'Lotta' series (other books- the kids from troublemaker street). It's a pity that there aren't more of her books available in English. We own a lot of other similar good ones in German that you can only find at the library in English.

I bought this for my 8 year old grandson's reading class. We enjoyed reading it (I read one page and he read the next page). Not only was it cute to me, but it was also interesting. It told a story that all children want to experience at one time or another as they seek their independence. And it was told with love.

Kids love it! We are avid fans of Astrid Lindgren in our house. Highly recommend everything this woman ever wrote, you won't regret it.

A childhood favorite now shared with my granddaughter!

What a great story about feelings and working things through. This story is very funny and from the perspective of a young child!

I don't know who enjoyed this more, me reading it out loud or the little girl listening. I remember the book from my own childhood and as it's for small kids it must have made a lasting impression on me to remember it now that I'm nearly 50. Lotta lives in a loving family but one day she has a bad morning. She's grumpy and on top of it all mum wants her to wear a jumper that Lotta is convinced is scratchy. She cuts a big hole into it to avoid having to wear it. As she knows that her mum will be very cross with her, she decides to move into a neighbour's attic and sets up her own little household with the things she finds there. Of course it all ends happily and I can recommend Lotta wholeheartedly. I guess most kids at some point think about moving out so there is something in Lotta's adventure that children respond to. The book is short, small and light. Ideal for a train journey or similar. And the best bit? You'll enjoy it too because it's actually funny.

ロッタちゃんのひっこし（確か同名も映画もあって、とてもかわいらしい金髪の女の子の映画でした）の訳本もありますが、英語のこちらのほうがかわいらしさが伝わります。日本語版は「あたい」なんて自分のことを呼ぶので、小憎らしい幼児のイメージがついてしまいます。英語も簡単なものなので、ほとんど辞書なしで読めます。末っ子のロッタちゃんがわがままからママとケンカの末、となりのおばさんの屋根裏部屋に引っ越すお話です。ほのぼのとした家族、となりのおばさんなど、あたたかい優しい人に囲まれて成長するロッタちゃんのお話です。この前編（にあたるのかな？）の"The children on Troublemaker Street"というお話も英語で読みましたが、それより、この本のほうが、お話がロッタちゃんの引越しネタのみなので、読みやすくて楽しいです。

作者リンドグレンのロッタちゃんシリーズの原作。5歳のロッタちゃんが目をさまし夢を現実とまちがえて　ある出来事にへそを曲げて怒ってしまいます。そして、とうとう家出をすることに・・・　全部で５５ページ、ところどころ白黒ですが挿絵が入っています。難しい単語はそうありませんが、慣用句はけっこう出てきて勉強になると思います。中学生の方など多読におすすめです。
