The media could not be loaded. I wanted to fit a Philips Hue downlight in our downstairs cloakroom controlled by a motion sensor. This meant I would need a fan that wasn't controlled by the light switch.After a bit of research it appears these Silent 100 fans are sold under a few different brands. I wanted a fan with a PIR sensor but was also quite whilst able to move a lot of air. This fan ticks all of those boxes. Even more importantly is the fact the installation instructions do not require the fitment of a 3A fuse which most electricians will tell you is a waste of time anyway on a lighting circuit protected with a 6A MCB.So this fan just requires a live and a neutral wire. I did fit an isolator just in case I needed to isolate the fan in case of a fault and still be able to use the light.It's very quite compared to our other fans as you can only really hear the air moving. The actual motor sits higher and it uses ball bearings.The PIR works well but the timer is a little fiddly to adjust. Forget using the supplied plastic tool and use a watchmaker's Philips driver instead. Ours runs on for 3.5 minutes.I will now be replacing our other fans with these as they are much quieter and have much greater suction. You get what you pay for.

It's not actually silent but it's pretty quiet, I'm fairly pleased with that aspect. At the moment I'm very unimpressed with the amount of condensation it clears - and it's a very small bathroom - but to be fair, the main problem is that the PIR only senses movement almost directly in front of it so if you sit on the loo or disappear behind the shower curtain the fan cuts out very quickly. If I get the electrician back and he is able to adjust it so that it stays on for 5-10 mins after sensing movement, I'm sure it will make a big difference to how useful it is.

Received within 2days via Amazon collect service highly recommend as I could get on with life and pick up during the time it suits me.Extractor Fan replaced old no problem with good instructions supplied in box,runs quietly in toilet room and almost undetectable when door closed,PIR picks up movement easily and setting time lapse by turning screw with tool screwdriver supplied.So far excellent product and recommend this product.Bought this brand for bathroom some 6 months ago and working well,best to clean fan blades as recommended so it runs quiet and sweet.

Seems like a quality product, particularly a bit too sensitive for my application so put a but of tape over half the sensor so only works when there is someone in the shower.

Easy to install. It’s noisy though which is related to the duct as well as the fan. Pir range is somewhat limited.

The fan itself is a really good fan, however it was damaged when i received it and had to be returned, i will buy another fan when i have had money refunded.

Love this motion detecting bathroom fan. Good motion detection, efficient fan and as quiet as reasonably could be expected. Recommended
