Value Door Window Vibration Shock Alarm 110+dB Value Glass Guard Window and Door Alarm is suitable for windows, doors, cabinets and is also great for caravans. The Window Alarm responds to vibration or shock and can be fitted in under a minute. It senses any shock, breakage or vibrations and activates the powerful 110+db siren upon detection. The Alarm is attached by simply sticking it to the window via an adhesive pad and after turning on, the Alarm is now fully protected. A major advantage is that screws and wiring are not needed ensuring a hassle free installation that anyone can do themselves. This Alarm has been designed to be as simple to use as possible. This Alarm has an on/off switch and requires triple AAA Batteries (Supplied). Battery Installation: The vibration window alarm requires 2pcs AAA batteries (included) 1. Remove cover off the battery compartment 2. Insert 2 pcs AAA batteries, noting polarity 3. Replace battery compartment cover Installation: Using the double sided adhesive tape provided, mount the alarm on window, door or cabinet to be protected. Operation 1. To set the alarm: Set the switch to the left hand side of the unit to the 'ON' position. Whenever the protected window, door or cabinet is opened or knocked (causing the alarm sensor to pick up movement/shock), the alarm siren will sound and then automatically re-set 2. To disarm the unit: Set the switch to the OFF position. NOTE: To test the alarm, a cloth can be used to cover the alarm to reduce the risk of hearing damage. WARNING This product should be tested regularly to make sure it is working correctly.

Good widow alarm, very loud.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Did a bit of reading before I got a whole lot of those. Based on all the mixed reviews on every single shock alarm I could find I finally settled on these. Simply because they have similar reviews to others but do not cost as much. So far I am happy with my decision.First of all this alarm uses AAA batteries and they are already included. I have seen some other window alarms that use a few button cell batteries. Not really fan of those to be honest as they do not last as long and cost more. If you have a lot of alarms just imagine buying a whole bag of watch batteries every couple of months. This alarm is quite loud so even if you put in in an outbuilding you will still hear it going off. There are two settings on this alarm "High" and "Low". Even on the high setting I was able to open the window gently or tap it from the outside. However as soon as you bang it harder or open the window in a rush the alarm goes off. I suppose to break the window open the burglars wouldn't be able to do it gently enough to avoid sounding the alarm.I have put one of those on a single glazed doors at the back of my garage. I did set it to low to avoid it being triggered by wind, draft from the garage or my bikes engine. Still, on one occasion I forgot to switch it off and opened the doors - it did go off. They are easy to install with the provided 3m sticky pads. The pads have a clear warning sign on the back so are visible from the outside. I think this should work further as a deterrent.Remember that no alarm is 100% burglar proof but by installing them in visible places they work as a deterrent and you make it a bit harder to break in. Also, do not leave any valuables in plain sight and hopefully you will be safe.I hope you found this review informative and helpful. which was a GB number to be told they only manufacture them (more like only import them
only opened one box before sending them back. There were dire warnings about the piercing noise and to cover the alarm with a towel to muffle it.Well on both settings the noise was the same- That is to say the blackbird in the garden could drown it out, in fact the noise was rather similar (and that was without the towel over it).Phoned the number on the instructions, which was a GB number to be told they only manufacture them (more like only import them, from you know where) and to return them to the seller, Amazon being the agent, which was handy as they cover the return postage. So overall a bit disappointing, the other four may have worked, but did not see the point in haggling about one, when Amazon offer that return service

Brilliant product for peace of mind
Brilliant product for peace of mind. The only drawback I'd say is that they are overly sensitive. When I initially read reviews for this product, a lot of people said the same and I thought 'how can that be a bad thing?' but they seriously go off at nothing. Drop a fork on the worktop nowhere near a window, off they go. Put the heating on on a cold day, off they go. I'm still super happy with my purchase, but worth keeping in mind you might want to turn them down to the 'low' option.

Very loud - recommended.
This is absolutely great! The settings are very beneficial. And the sensor is as sentiment as I would like it to be.I put this on my front window next to the front door and it goes off if the door opens as well - nice!

When the batteries are in tiptop condition the are brilliant, some little toerag threw a snowball at my windows to test it, it worked very well after it blew the wax out of my ear's.

Deafening sound
After just being broken into shock alarms were recommended on the leaflets issued by the police. I have large bi fold doors & have stuck one on each panel. If you bang the door hard it does set off all 3 of the alarms making a deafening sound. Do I want to have these fitted -No but unless scum stop breaking into your home I hope these will be a deterrent.

Great window alarms
Great window alarms, they make me feel a lot safer. They are very sensitive though and will go off if you bump the window a bit firmly, but then, that's what you need really. They are easy to turn off when they do activate though.
