Phone calls sound horrible to those receiving. Sound is muddy and not equivalent to OEM Bluetooth
I've attached pictures to show that this installs easily and looks as good as possible on the OEM resolution screen. The touchscreen works fine, and all Android auto functions do well. I've installed products like this for my other cars... not this brand. So why shouldn't you buy this? It's 33% good -- where it fails is in two things... cellular phone call Bluetooth sound quality and music sound fidelity. After having this installed for about a week, I had so many complaints about how terrible I sounded in the car that I forced my phone to use the OEM Bluetooth after every call started to clear up the audio for those talking to me. Secondly... I have the 2015 Highlander with a nice JBL sound system. Music sounds very muddy from this box and Android auto versus running the same source music (Pandora/Spotify) from my phone and sending it to the OEM Bluetooth source.I wanted this upgrade to have a Waze and integrated Android auto apps and phone... but the only thing that isn't having a quality problem is the Waze. People complaining about the resolution are ignoring that it's the resolution of the OEM screen. IMHO, the resolution is fine. When you can't make a phone call and have people understand you, or play music without it sounding flat and muddy... Those are quality issues. I'll try to return this because it's such a quality failure, but the box is likely out with the Christmas trash and gone. Be aware of these issues before you purchase.

Realistically speaking works as well as it can.
This was installed in 2016 Toyota Tacoma paired with an Android phone.Installation was straight forward if not a bit tricky mainly due to lack of room behind the headunit to cram all the wires. Unit feels of good quality and the wires are wrapped in felt tape as to not rattle. What it's like using this:- The video quality is low like many have mentioned but that's due to low inherent resolution of the head unit, otherwise it's decently usable if not a bit cramped. I believe it's a VGA (640x480) screen.- The touch screen interface works as expected and there is no problem with it being quick and responsive.- It's activated by selecting Aux on the head unit - at that point none of the built in buttons on the headunit will work outside of power and volume - which is somewhat expected. However there are some notable gotchas.- You cannot listen to the factory radio, USB, XM or anything like that while using this. Remember this is your Aux input.- If you like to fiddle with your bass or treble controls, it's hard. There's a 1 second delay switching into and out of this unit where you see the factory AUX screen and that is the only chance you'll get to make adjustments.- To exit out of this and get back to the built-in radio, you have to somewhat unintuitively hit the power button or use the steering wheel controls to select a different source.- The sound quality for streaming media sounds a bit flat. A bit like the dynamic range is compressed.- There is a USB dongle for your mp3's on USB. It starts playing when you plug in a USB. You have to leave android auto and back into the autoABC interface to do anything with the playback which is annoying. As a device that is outside of the factory unit splicing into the factory screen, touch interface and audio somebody did a great job for the price. It's well short of a fully factory effort, but if you want android auto in your car without replacing your head unit this is probably as good as it can get.

Easy to connect. Resolution is horrible
It was easy to install and works like any Apple CarPlay stereo would. I have occasionally gotten a static sound when initiating the connection, but can usually hit the power button to get rid of it. The thing that makes me want to return it is the horrible resolution. I’ve worked with image controls and doesn’t seem to help. The original apps and map from the oem stereo have a great image, so the factory screen is not the limiting factor. If the resolution could be improved, I’d definitely keep it.

Operate Like a Hack .. Camera Issues
Pros: Easy install, sound quality is same as the original head unit, GPS works fine.Cons: difficult to operate, does not integrate with head unit very well, screens often locks-up, picture quality is poor (this could be due to my headunit), biggest issue is back camera not working if your headunit is in a different source or you start the car and reverse too quickly. In addition, I have not been able to get wireless screen mirror to work on Android. Also, for some reason if you connect the phone and disconnect... Bluetooth forces reconnection although after turning off the Bluetooth it tries to force through wifi connection enabling Bluetooth. Not worth the headache.
