Green Arrow Vol. 4: The Rise of Star City (Rebirth)

Possibly My Favourite Comic Of All Time
Roy Harper returns to the Green Arrow run and he brings with him the best collection of issues thus far. Percy demonstrates a brilliant understanding of both characters, elevating Harper from the sidekick and comic relief he was reduced to in the Red Hood and The Outlaws run and humanising Oliver in his best portrayal yet. This is the best issue of the Rebirth continuity of Green Arrow thus far and since the bulk of this volume can stand as it's own standalone adventure this has to be picked up by any Green Arrow fan.

Interesting arc but yet left me feeling uneasy about where they are going with this.
Interesting arc but yet left me feeling uneasy about where they are going with this.We get a retelling of the speedy/green arrow partnership along with a reconciliation of sorts which was strange enough due to them mixing up his different substance addictions and going off on a random tribal story.Anyhoo, it gets back on track, only to show green arrow as either a very dumb character or one who just can’t see anything for his own ego. This is strange considering he’s not shown that way in any other rebirth title.Another strange thing is how quickly they jump to changes, they can be mid conversation and they jump to some crazy conclusion out of what seems like nowhere and go off on a tangent.Anyway, this is all leading to something new I guess, a blend of the old green arrow, the new 52 green arrow and even elements of cws arrow. I’m not fully convinced yet but I’ll continue to read on for now. Let’s just say I’m intrigued. (Lot of bold statements made in the last few pages, some of which I have no context)
