This cage had some fairly bad reviews and I was a little nervous about buying it but I had a rotastak when I was a kid and liked it so I took a chance.The cage was really easy to assemble, my 9 year old daughter and I did it together in about 15 minutes. We had no problem fitting the tubes together and when it was assembled it was nice and sturdy. The plastic and the metal parts are of good quality and the door is nice and secure.It is not a huge cage but it is fine for 2 dwarf hamsters (even though the box said it was not suitable for dwarfs). You can always extend it if you think they need more room.Overall, I am very happy with my choice and the hamsters seem to be too!

It's flimsy and a nightmare to clean. The shallow bottom meant that the sawdust and mess went everywhere. The wheel is far too small for a Syrian hamster and could damage its back. I bought it as an extension to an existing rotastak cage and soon realised my mistake. Our hamster now has a cage and wheel size recommended by the RSPCA. A complete waste of money!

I've had one of this super pods before years ago and really liked it. It came very quick and everything was there. My little Cookie Monster (Syrian hamster) loves it.However I don't know if it made differently nowadays but one of the clips has already broken leaving it unsecure (I've had to stick selotape to hold it in place). I don't know if there is a way for me to get a replacement small clip (for one of the edge pieces).also where she is gnawing the bars the polish is coming off although still secure. Which has made me think it's not made like is used to be.Other than that's it's a great product!!

Hamster enthusiasts recommend a Duna tank, or similar, and for good reason!Pros:* looks cute* can be added to, which changes its look, and combined with another big module, can be actually big enough for a hamster.* this model is well ventilatedCons:* not big enough alone* messy to take apart - it comes apart in the middle, getting sawdust everywhere* hard to clean. See above, and also my hamsters have always had a preference for peeing and pooing in the tunnels and wheel. Pee gets on you then, when you take the tunnels off for cleaning. They also love to go in the wheel, which then sprinkles the whole room with hamster pee and poo as it has holes in it.You need a lot of patience for dealing with this tank. I was taken in by its cute look. Don't be. Get a duna tank"

We bought this so that we could easily transport our hamster on holiday with us. We already had one of the small standard transport boxes that you can buy but I wanted a small cage which also had a water bottle as clearly she would need food and water for a long journey. She is a dwarf hamster but I don't use the wire part of the cage so this isn't a problem. I found it very easy to put together and we have used it every six weeks to transport her 12 hours each way for the last 18 months and have had no issue with it at all. We have never had a problem with the clips, but we do tie cord round it just in case they were to fail en route. Most importantly of all, our hamster absolutely loves it! As soon as we put her into it she gets in her wheel and starts running.I have only given it four stars because whilst it is perfect for what we use it for, I wouldn't choose it as her main cage as it is quite small.

I ordered this cage on the Friday and got it the next day. At first I was a bit concerned about buying it as there were a lot of bad reviews but when I got it I was glad. It took me 5-10 minuets to put together and I even had a few spare parts which was handy. The cage itself looks small on the picture but I was surprised when it came but I would still connect at least another 1 of these cages for a Syrian Hamster to live in. The only issues I have with this cage are...1) it looks harder to clean than other cages but should be fine and that my own Syrian Hamster Oscar puts food in the wheel and starts running in it which is very loud and annoying at night but not all hamster will do this other than that its a great cage with loads more good things than bad.

We bought this to take the hamsters on holiday. Easy setup turn into a crafting exercise, having use a crafting knife/scalpel to cut away the excess plastic. Put together it still felt flimsy. When we got home we knocked the cage by accident and the so called hard plastic shattered and a big piece landed on top of them. Luckily we were home and transferred them to their wired cage. Will not by from this brand again

Giving 3 stars only as nowhere in the description does it say, 'not suitable for dwarf hamsters or mice", which it does state on the box. Kinda important thing to know before purchase.However for my two baby dwarf hamsters I've covered the wire section with mesh so they can't escape through the bars and they do love it (along with tubes and extra rooms). The wheel is another issue as both dwarf hamsters together can't move it, but, it is easy to swap out with another wheel.Unlike other reviewers I've had no issue with how the cage comes apart. I like it as it makes for super easy cleaning. I wouldn't recommend you try to move the whole thing at once, certainly not with its occupants! But as it's so easy to clean well in situ I don't see why you would try.A bottle brush deals with the tubes simplyI love how easily available spares/replacements are too, as well as additions so that you can tailor the environment to your pets needs.All in all I'm very happy, as an experienced pet owner I know no environment is ever perfect but do find this system far easier to customise than others and inexpensive. Just a shame about the description.
