Cutting tips are easy to change and are available on Amazon from third-party at very reasonable price. Bluetooth connection is stable most of the time - if there's a problem, unplug and reconnect power and it works, with no risk of losing your project.

I bought the Cricut Joy thinking it’d be a cute, little craft tool to help me make cards and labels. What I didn’t expect was a machine that had more ambition than I do. So I lost custody of my Cricut Air 3 in the divorce. Long story short, I'm a dude who does my own graphics on my cars & trucks, so when I saw this Joy Extra for the price, I was immediately sold!It only runs on Bluetooth, so if your PC is not bluetooth enabled, it is still worth downloading the Design Space app on BOTH your PC AND your phone. I forgot that Cricut charges for most fonts, so It's easier just to use the fonts on a Memo, or Word, or Paint program, save the document as a JPEG, upload it to the Design Space app on your PC, edit the image, and then use your phone's Design Space app to cut them out via bluetooth.This Joy Extra is super easy to use, it's a space saver, material saver, and cuts effortlessly!See in the photos how to cut a 3" x 20" long graphic by only using a 9" x 12" piece of vinyl 🤘

I have spent more time trying to troubleshoot this machine than I have using it. I own a MacBook Pro. Sometimes the bluetooth connects, sometimes it doesn't. I have tried downloading and redownloading, unplugging and plugging everything back in, restarting my computer and the devices, changing privacy and location settings in my Mac Bluetooth setting to allow it. The only thing that seems to help is either waiting for a cricut update. It seems like some of the Mac system updates are just not compatible. I've also spent hours going back and forth with customer service and they just have me do everything I've already done on my own or have found in reddit threads.
