I have tried so many other peds, that are just to thick in dancing shoes. would these work to keep feet from sticking when bare feet are used?

These are basically little nylons, super thin. If nylons would work for you, these will.

Could you cut these and use them to tie tomatoes to the stakes?

I use them to protect apples from pests and you can use them for tomatoes too. You would need a full sock per tomato so I would not cut them up. I have not tried using them for stabilization. Try it but I would still support the vine also.

How 'sanitary' are these disposable socks? Are they air tight? For example...will it protect my feet from fungus from an airport floor?

Dont know about that. I got them for my mom. Her feet sweat alot, she was using them so her feet don't sweat. I just asked her would she buy them again.
