Make ABSOLUTELY sure you know what you are buying
Pec Pads are the go-to wipes to clean camera lenses. I have bought them before and have always performed well.HOWEVER: make sure you are ordering the correct NUMBER of wipes. I found two options on Amazon that were close to what I remembered paying before, one of which said "100/pkg", and another one that said "25/pkg". Since the price was similar, I assumed the only difference was the packaging (1 large package vs 4 smaller ones). WRONG.This listing is for ONE 25-wipe package, or slightly more than 50 cents each, while the other one you pay 15 cents each. You can also buy these at other reputable online stores for less than 9 cents per wipe, but you'll have to pay shipping. So, in purchasing these, I ended up paying between 3 and more than 5 times what I would pay elsewhere. If you need to clean optics, get PEC-PADs - They are great. Just don't make the same mistake I did.

When you really need to clean optical glass
I’ve been a fairly avid photographer since high school, which in my case is more than 50 years ago. There have been a few major improvements in optical glass cleaning over the years. Micro fiber cloths and “lens cleaning pens” both do great jobs for the daily, “keep that lens or filter clean” approach, and I always have a pen style cleaner in my bag.But microfiber cloth involves some risk—any dirt on the cloth can become a potential scratcher. And, if you’re really trying to get a lens really clean, that micro fiber cloth should be a one use between washing product. When I go through my lenses and clean them, really clean them, I’ve always used “lens tissue” and a liquid cleaner. Each tissue is new, clean and (as long as I keep them in a sealed baggie) isn’t going to scratch my lenses’ or filters’ coatings. (Note: always blow off any dust, etc. before you rub anything against optical glass!)My supply of tissue was low, and I decided to try PEC pads. I won’t be buying anymore “lens tissue” anymore. Even though these are thin sheets, they are several times more thick and absorbent than the old style tissues. (I still use only a small drop of my preferred residual oil remover liquid.) These cost more than the old style tissues, but I often used several tissues on a single lens, and even with the cost difference, they’re still not expensive, especially in larger quantities. (And I can’t see any reason that these will ever expire from shelf life.) Given how expensive good glass is, it’s foolish economy not to buy the best for caring for your equipment.

Irreplaceable tool
I repair cameras and lenses. These wipes are irreplaceable when cleaning optical glass, mirrors and such delicate components of photography. I can count on them being soft, clean and lint free which goes a long way to help working with optical glass that will be closed up inside a lens. Helps me do the job once and do it right!

genuine pec-pads, the gold standard for cleaning optics!
These are the pecpads that you've come to know and love. They're wonderful. I use them on my form labs printer and my microscope for cleaning them without getting any scratches on them. However, for $10.25 sheets this is a pretty good deal. I don't know if I've ever even seen them this inexpensive anywhere else.If you're not familiar with these they're basically the gold standard of cleaning optics and if you are familiar with them these are the genuine article. Glad to be able to get these on Amazon at such a good price.
