These are a great quality slate! Sublimation is amazing on them. 400 degrees for 550 seconds with medium pressure. Excellent results.

While this did sublimate beautifully, I only had one slate that looked decent. The others all had quite a big chip off the corner. I did have to look at other reviews for directions as these don’t come with any. I sublimated at 400 degrees F for 420 seconds and it was perfect. I used my regular heat press, placed butcher paper on top of my foam/silicone mat that came with my press. The I placed the image on top of that, face up. Then placed the slate on top of the paper, face down. Then one more piece of butcher paper over the whole thing. I did not use heat tape as the slate is heavy so it wasn’t needed. It will be very hot once done for about 10 min so I used heat gloves to remove it and then placed on a cooling rack. I also used a lint roller over the top of the slate before I sublimated to remove any dust. Hope this helps. (The white line in my image is the shore line, not ghosting). I didn’t open them right away when I got them so it was too late to return them (due to the chipped off corners) otherwise I would have.
