Brilliant
Can't believe I've survived all these years without this. I'm used to cutting my negs with a paper cutter with the inevitable slippages and bad cuts resulting in many ruined negatives. This makes perfect cuts every time. So easy to use on top of a light box. No longer am I holding my breath on each cut hoping it's going to be straight and in the right place. The film is held really securely and you just use the wheels to move the film backwards and forwards until it is in the right place. If you're cutting up film rolls you need one of these.

VERY useful. I'd definitely recommend.
Yes, you *could* just use scissors.Yes, it's a tiny bit overpriced for what it is.Yes, I'd still recommended it. It's a great time-saver. Very neat and easy cuts.If you don't have one, you should get one.It will definitely get a lot of use.

Really useful tool for cutting straight.
Easy to use and load. It's difficult to cut straight with scissors so I'd really recommend this.

Sent by Fedex who demand import tax
The item itself is very good, a little pricey for what it is, but there aren't many alternatives.HOWEVER, the item was sent from Korea via FedEx who are now demanding £19.40 in import tax. That means the item has now cost me £53.25.SERIOUSLY UNIMPRESSEDI recommend you don't buy this item from here.

Bit pricey
Work ok but as with all things in photography ,expensive plastic from China.

Far easier then using scissors!!!
I am into developing film and like most have been using scissors to divide up the negatives. The downside to that is that its not always easy to see between images an sometimes you get a wonky cut. This slicer is so easy to use and its a doddle to get a straight cut where you need it.Had to wait a few weeks for delivery, but well worth it.

clean cutting of films.
much easier and more consistent than scissors for cutting 120 film.

Better than scissors
I should of got this sooner, I’ve been using scissors for years but this little device can cut frames with better accuracy. Part of the opaque bits, light can shine through, working on a light table helps getting with better framing for cutting.

Good product
I used to dread cutting negatives into strips to sleeve them. After cutting through many many film frames and destroying them, I finally bought this little device. It made the job a pleasure. It works great on 35mm and medium format films. Very happy to have bought this. Highly recommend to film shooters.

Helps me take out the guesswork of cutting film
Works perfectly for advancing and cutting film for my film sheets. Cuts straight and paired together with a light table easily can line up between the frames for the cut.The advancing wheel can be a bit tricky to advance with cotton gloves on I’ve noticed.I haven’t noticed any scratches from the advancing rollers. Overall I’m quite happy with it.

Light it from below
The Matin film cutter works great - I was able to get through many rolls of medium format 120 and 35mm film in just a few minutes. So whether you shoot Pentax 6x7, Hasselblad 6x6 square, Pentax 645, or SLR 35mm, this handy tool makes short work of carefully slicing your negatives from a roll of developed film. A handy feature is that parts of the body are made of translucent white plastic, so you can just put it on a light box or small flat panel, making it easier to see the separation between frames. Recommended.

Si e no
Non riesco ancora a capire se questa taglierina mi graffia i negativi o meno ma credo sia più dannosa che utile. Per me scomoda con pellicole 35mm perché troppo lunghe. Discorso diverso per le 120mm.Bene ma non benissimo
