Razer BlackShark V2 Review: Supreme Comfort, Stellar Sound
From the moment I unboxed the Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed Wireless Gaming Headset, I knew I was in for an extraordinary gaming journey. This headset is not just a piece of technology; it's a game-changer in the truest sense. **1. Feather-Light Comfort:** Firstly, the 280g lightweight design is nothing short of revolutionary. Long gaming sessions can often lead to discomfort, but with the BlackShark V2, it almost feels like wearing air. The headset sits comfortably on your head, ensuring that your focus is entirely on the game, not on adjusting your headset. **2. Immersive Audio Experience:** The THX Spatial Audio is a marvel. It's like having a high-end surround sound system right in your ears. The audio quality is crisp, clear, and balanced, allowing you to hear every detail in your game. From the subtle footsteps of an enemy sneaking up behind you to the roaring engines in a high-speed chase, the sound is so lifelike, it completely immerses you in your gaming world. **3. Crystal Clear Communication:** The bendable mic is another standout feature. It's not just flexible; it's also incredibly clear. Communication with teammates is flawless, with no background noise or interference. The mic picks up your voice with such clarity, it feels like you're in the same room with your team. **4. Powerful Drivers for Dynamic Sound:** The 50mm drivers in this headset are a powerhouse. They deliver sound that's not just loud but rich and nuanced. Whether it's the subtle guitar strumming in a game's soundtrack or the booming explosions in an action-packed scene, the audio quality remains top-notch. **5. Versatile Connectivity:** The options of 2.4GHz, Bluetooth, or USB connectivity make this headset incredibly versatile. Whether you're gaming on a PC, console, or mobile device, the BlackShark V2 has got you covered. The seamless switching between devices is a huge plus, making it a great all-in-one headset for all your gaming needs. **6. Marathon Battery Life:** The 70-hour battery life is simply astounding. Knowing that your headset can last for days on a single charge is incredibly reassuring. And when you do need to power up, the USB Type-C charging is quick and convenient. **7. Sleek Aesthetic:** Lastly, the design and aesthetic of the headset deserve a mention. The sleek black look is stylish and professional, making it a great accessory for gaming setups and workstations. In conclusion, the Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed Wireless Gaming Headset is a masterpiece of gaming technology. It's comfortable, offers exceptional sound quality, has a fantastic mic, versatile connectivity options, and a battery life that keeps you gaming for days. It's not just a headset; it's an indispensable tool for any serious gamer looking to elevate their gaming experience. Highly recommended!

Razer never disappoints — best wireless headset I’ve used
I’ve been a Razer fan for over 10 years and once again, they nailed it. I bought this to use with my PS5 and it was super easy to connect — totally plug and play. The wireless experience is smooth and reliable. The sound quality is absolutely insane. It’s super immersive and also blocks outside noise really well. The mic picks up my voice clean and clear, and the headset is surprisingly very comfortable, even after long gaming sessions. What I love the most is the battery — I’ve been using it for 5 days straight and still haven’t had to charge it. Switching from PS5 to PC is also super quick and easy. Honestly, I don’t have a single complaint. If you’re thinking about it… just go for it. Totally worth the investment!

Constant connection issues!
DONT WASTE THE MONEY!!! This device will constantly have connection issues! Ive purchased this Twice. First one, wouldnt connect to its own USB fob. Refusing to connect to its Non-Bluetooth Wireless option. I could connect via Bluetooth and get a worse sound quality (for both Inbound and outbound), or could connect Via Wired option. I bought this for a great gaming experience and to allow wireless due to needing to constantly get up for Children or other tasks and not wanting to be leashed. After running into that issue of it not connecting, I contacted Razor support, They basicly made sure I wasnt stupid and connected everything correctly, and found that after I followed all the steps on the instruction book, that they couldnt do anything more to troubleshoot and found it faulty and told me to return through Amazon. So return submitted and I figured, it seemed like a good deal and a sale going on, I bought a 2nd one. I got the 2nd one in the mail, and this time, following the same steps, YAY it connected! Worked just fine for the last 2ish months since I bought it. Then a couple days ago, I disconnected the cable/fob from my computer to take with me out of town with my laptop, Ended up not usinging. Came back, Pluged it back into my computer, and SAME issue as before... Now nolonger wanting to connect to the USB Fob. Ive done a handful of troubleshooting, and Its refusing to connect now. Dont waste your money, this thing refuses to connect and there are much better options that will for the price with less issues. Sure you can use it wired for great sound, and has a decent cable with it, but dont do it for wireless unless you dont care about the poor sound quality of a Bluetooth Connectiln.

Not too bad!
I did not buy these as my primary headset. I already have a dedicated audio stack in my computer room with a professional mic and many audiophile headphones. I do however have a living room PC hooked to a home theater, where I enjoy all of my emulators and controller friendly PC titles. For that setup these work well for relatively cheap, and allow me to voice chat with my friends while playing together or just enjoy a movie without waking the wife. They are massively convenient. Build quality is... okay. They're very light but also feel plastic and cheap. There are clearly some build weaknesses as shown in review photos here on Amazon. I reinforced mine with a little electrical tape wrapped around the weak spots on the headband where the yolks attach. For the light use and gentle handling these get they should be okay. The original OG Blackshark was built from professional grade parts and was super rugged so this is kinda disappointing but hey you pay a premium for wireless that eats into other aspects of the build. Be gentle with them and pay $10 for a cheap headphone stand. The earpads are a kind of hybrid design and are fairly nice. Since the headphones are so light and don't clamp hard comfort is good. That said Razer is known for cheap earpads that blow out over time so be prepared to replace them eventually. Wireless connectivity is great with the dongle. Syncs instantly and flips the Windows setting automatically when I turn them on, and flips back when I turn them off. Range seems good as I can move around the room or even walk over to the fridge and get a drink while still talking/listening without dropping out. Synapse is known to be a little buggy but I seem to have good luck with it. It offers good control over the headset with all the basic features we've come to expect. It can even do firmware updates over USB. Sound is fine. These aren't audiophile headpones by any means but they sound just fine. Neutral with a little warmth and a little bass bump. They are a bit quiet out of the box but with Synapse 3 installed you can turn the gain up and then they get pretty loud. They aren't really special at 3D positioning but they're more than adequate to play Ghost Recon Wildlands or Helldivers 2 with my brother. They work well enough for movies and music and don't ever sound bad in anything. Just average. Lots of headphones in this range have problems with their sound so for me this is a win. Others have mentioned bad mic quality or low mic volume on older models of this headset but the HyperSpeed seems to have fixed that issue. The mic isn't amazing quality but has clean sound and is easily loud enough for voice chat via Discord. Overall these aren't a bad choice. If you need something that just works, doesn't sound awful, and won't make you poor, these are the ones. It's a lot more money for appreciably better build quality, and at this level sound quality is kind of low priority so you take what you can get. I think long term I will probably be skipping "gamer" brands and looking at Audeze Maxwell. My other Audeze headphones are fantastic. In the meantime this is a solid entry level headset that ticks all the boxes.

Comfortable
Works great . Comfortable Instructions could be better for set up and printing gray on black paper does not help. Took several tries to get it to connect had to se a you tube video . I bought these as an open box , So I got them cheap and they look brand new. I think they were returned because they are hard to setup initially. They have a great battery life . I use them for gaming on a PC.

S Tier Headset for any gaming
10/10. Hugs nicely on my ears which I love while gaming. The noise cancellation is the best part but my girlfriend hates that I can’t hear her talk to me while i’m gaming lol. Got it on sale and definitely the best headset I ever had. I use it to play Counter Strike (Csgo/Cs2). The built in mic is not removable which is okay because if i don’t use it i just added velcro pads to move it out of the way. The quality of the mic is amazing though, is on the same level as my hyperx quad cast.

My forever headset
Well, at least, my 5+ year headset(I just need the wireless for exercise, I can plug it in to the PC if I need to)... You can hear that they took the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro's drivers and put them in these. The sound quality is superb, I can't really knock it because while it feels a little weak on bass, my Blackshark V2 X's were heavy on bass, so that is probably it. Plus, Razer Synapse makes it easy to EQ them to have a bit of a bass bump. Funny thing, EQ's work as long as you follow the 'zero' rule. Set the highest band on the EQ to 0DB and go from there. Then just turn up the headsest itself. The Blackshark V2 X and Hyperspeed are both loud enough that this is fine. Install the firmware!!! It's pretty straightforward and easy as long as you have a PC(why would you buy these otherwise?)... just do the usual firmware rules, make sure it's plugged in and staying that way etc... It's worth the trouble. When you connect it to bluetooth, you can double-tap the right button to switch between the PC wireless and the bluetooth. Both preserve the superb sound quality. I guess I'm too deaf to notice bluetooth compression! And finally, use the included USB cable if at all possible. It acted finnicky when I tried to use my own. Might try it again, as my own cord is 10 feet while the Hyperspeed's is 6 feet. But with a 70 hour battery, I suspect I'll never need to use it wired as long as I charge it every night. That's the only downside of this headset: There's no way to keep the charge between 30% and 80%, so they will die in, what, 5 years or so? Ouch. But I don't think any headset displays exact enough battery information to regulate the charge like this, so is it really a downside if it applies to everything? The microphone is a huge improvement over the Blackshark V2 X... but it's a much more expensive headset so that's to be expected to some degree. But it's really good. It's not gonna be a Snowball or Yeti, but I think that's obvious. Razer earned their 5 stars on this one. I made a spreadsheet of a bunch of headsets and their downsides before buying. This headset had the most bearable downsides(on paper before I bought it) so it's the one I chose. I chose wisely.

Pretty decent headphones! Unbeatable for the price.
I purchased this item through an Amazon Warehouse deal, and the headphones appear to be basically brand new. The sound quality is pretty decent. Not the greatest in the world, but definitely good enough that the quality isn't distracting. Comparable to Airpods sound quality, I'd say. Great mids, but not much for bass. Microphone quality is pretty amazing, people I've talked to on voice calls note the difference in mic quality compared to my old set up. The 'hyperspeed' wireless connection is AMAZING, and the real selling point here. I can walk around the house and not lose audio connection, and even still remain on calls. They are very comfortable and very light, I wear them for hours at a time, and the battery life is unbelievably good, don't know how they do it. Highly recommend them if you can get a good deal.

Excelente headset!
