Roland Ac-33 Rw Combo Rosewood

This a really good quality little amplifier with great features. The built in looper is great fun and the chorus and reverb effects are amongst the best around. The acoustic tonality is excellent and the eq (bass, treble..) functions very responsive and create interesting variations to suit your requirements. The battery feature is fantastic for busking or simply playing in outdoor locations. Its small and compact, so easy to carry and fits into a holdall shoulder bag - however I would have liked a purpose built bag from Roland like the AC60 & AC90 have. Limitations are volume and bass, however it is loud enough for a small cafe gig, busking or classroom use and this is really its intended use. There are a number of battery amps out now, but the built in looper really gives this the edge over its competitors. Do bear in mind though that the optional footswitch (Boss FS-6)is a real must for ease of use. The new rosewood finish gives it a more 'woody' feel and it therefore goes with the acoustic guitar image. Would definitely recommend, providing the volume is adequate enough for your intended use.

This was a great little buy, lightweight, the batteries seem to go on and on forever and the sound with an electric cello are great - it actually sounds like a real cello! the volume, which worried me somewhat, is actually pretty loud, it cut through a brass band at least..! wonderful sound quality. The only thing that i would say is - the loop system SEEMS(and this really is a bit seems) to be a little flawed as there is no count in process?

I have had this amp now for two weeks and it "almost scored 5 stars" to start with the pro's...For a Busker like myself it is the most portable peice of kit you can imaging. It weighs precisely the same as a gallon of water 10lb's.It is unbelievably small and will fit neatly into a rucksack. However it's not small on sound, unplugged at 15 watts and plugged punches 30 and it is not tinny and cheap sounding. No it delivers a warm acoustic tone that is so subtle that you would not notice that your acoustic had turned electric. Great loop system that allows you to super impose layer on layer in seconds. Amazing. Also of you have backing tracks on your phone you can plug the phone in the back wroth a separate volume control amd jam away!. Prefect!.Why 4 stars?The cons! Whoever heard of a song that lasted 40 seconds? I want a loop that lasts the entire track which can be anything up to 5 minutes hence it is only for punching in harmonics with a foot switch ( very fiddly and requires a lot of practice). The cabinet design has all the aesthetics of a post ww2 short wave valve radio. ( I was expecting to hear Churchill declare the war is over).Last but not least is the head phone provision does not allow you to use them as a monitor which seems to defeat the object of having it. I want to be able to hear myself sing and play citing out the ambient noise from the wind or trees rustling or general din without cutting off my self of from my audience. The workaround involves a second peice of kit called my monitor by Art. Which plugs into the line out. However it's just another piece of kit to carry along with more wires.That said what about the competition? In my view there is none ... Yet?...So yes its' Brilliantly brilliant almost!.I have preformed with this nice piece of kit for about a year now and I'm still impressed on so many fronts. However I have noticed that it gobbles up batteries in no time and more so if you use the looper feature which is annoyingly only 40 seconds long. If you want any longer you have to upgrade to an independent standalone such as the boss looper station series which adds more weight and bulk to your kit and also makes the built in looper redundant which kind of defeats the object of having it as a feature in the first place.

excellent item and fast delivery

Purchased for my son who is a Musician so he could busk. Light weight easy to carry. He found it sounded better with Electric Guitar rather than Electric Accoustic.

Brilliant little amp powerful but light to move around and by registering on line giving you 3 years warranty makes it a bargain buy!!!

Sounds great. one star off for having to remove batteries to charge as opposed to on-board automatic charging.

I just got this today, way earlier than the initial delivery estimate (because it was shipped from Japan!) and I must say I am impressed!This is the second attempt to try an amplifier and this time I am blown away by the quality of the sound and ease of use and all this extra features this offers.

Great amp for acoustic electric . Not for Electric or acoustic with just a pick up .

Was bei den Bildern nicht so klar rauskommt, ist die Farbe des RW Modells.Es sieht live viel besser aus als auf den Fotos. Die Fotos sind eher braun, in echt ist es jedoch wie dunkles Palisander Holz, fast schwarz. Bin sehr zufrieden. Klanglich war ich mehr als positiv überrascht, auch vom Fundament nach unten, Anbetracht der kleinen Box. Die Regler sind auch gut, nichts rauscht oder knackt, und der Looper erfüllt ebenfalls seinen Zweck.Das einzige was ich mit wünschen würde, ist eine Abdeckung mit richtigem Schutzgitter vor den Speakern.
