Not very strong
It works fine until you get in the hammock, I only weigh 125 pounds!

Misleading marketing, pure greatness, amazing people sleep any other way.
Feel like I won the lotto, I have been looking for something like this for so many years now. Only ones I could find were all DIY things that worked but at the cost of practicality. This thing at its lowest speed swings my full size Mayan V weave hammock and 180lbs. ass all night long. Has a European plug but takes 110v so cut off the plug, wrap the copper leads around another nearby plug and your good. Never have I slept so good, my bed don’t get much love since this things arrival.

Stopped working under 2 months
We use it to swing our infant to sleep. The motor is not strong, great for baby, NOT adult! It was great while it was working. I expected it to last longer than under 2 months.

Works, with one big modification
I would've given this product 5 stars if the transformer that it shipped with wasn't so incredibly underpowered. The motor worked fine when my hammock was empty, but as soon as I tried it with someone over 75 lbs (35kg) it wasn't able to run. At first I thought I had a problem with the motor itself being underpowered. My A100's power supply came with a standard US plug (unlike one of the other reviews here) but when I checked its output on a multimeter I saw it was putting out only 7 volts @ 1 amp. I replaced the transformer with this one (same exact plug type for connecting to the motor!) and now the motor runs just fine with loads tested up to about 200 lbs (90 kg): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R4NK3D1/

Misleading advertising: COMPLETE JUNK!
Mounting it exactly as shown in installation brochure places the hook at an angle to the hammock chain. The hook and bushing assembly is so flimsy that the hook pulled away from the motor shaft/bushing, leaving the motor turning the shaft in empty air. (This occurred with 50lb child on the hammock, a far cry from the advertised "200lb") So I designed a flange (see picture) to keep the hammock chain pulling in parallel with the hook so it wouldn't pull the hook assembly apart. As you can see, perfectly lined up, and no longer pulls the shaft assembly apart. BUT now the second and fatal design flaw: Though the speed is variable, even the lowest setting is much too fast, and the motor is much too weak. The hammock is constantly fighting the motor. Long before the hammock ever synchronizes.the motor stalls out. This happens when the hammock load reaches about 60 lb. So if you have cancer and you're down to 60lb you'll love it. Otherwise, useless. Of course, by the time I built my Rube-Goldberg workaround, I had run out the clock on Amazon returns, and can raise no human at the company to get a refund for a return. Useless device and completely misleading advertising.

Doesn’t fit hammock base. Cheap motor
Only fits a certain type of a frame hammock base. I was trying to mcgyver a way to connect it and dropped the unit. It stopped working. Took it apart and the weak little motor had plastic gears. One which broke. Going into garbage

it might not be a perfect lock but since the moving part is only on ...
worked well for my 3 month old baby. Just install it on any hammock you have. Note: it might not be a perfect lock but since the moving part is only on the hook, all you need is a place where the bracket stays. The speed control knob works great. Another note: The system works by having the movement hit a harmonic with the load in the hammock. So you might need to try different settings and wait for a few mins to see if the wavelenght hits a harmonic. Dont be deceived by the small movement of the hook. Those small movements superimpose on each other and within a few mins a 3 setting can convert to a pretty big wavelength.

Does not work
I really wanted this to work. I have the exact recommended hammock and it was easy to mount although the fasteners appeared a bit weak. Followed instructions and it seemed to work, while the hammock was empty. However it did not work when I got into the hammock…it was apparent that the motor was not strong enough to handle my 160 LB weight. In fact when I manually applied weight to the crank it stopped. I hesitated to buy due to another review with the same experience but purchased it anyway. Returning it now.
