For those out of shape, finally a perfect game for practicing your Hokuto Shinken!
I initially bought this as a bit of a joke after seeing the abhorrent voice acting in one of the trailers for this game, but as it actually turns out this is a great work out, i'm also a Fist of the North Star fan so it's a bonus to get to work out to the OST which has got some classics, and some new great songs, which i really enjoyed. Now since this game is so straight forward, i'm not really going to go too in depth about gameplay or anything like that, it's part rhythm game, part work out essentially, if you know how rhythm games work - then great, you probably already have a good mental image of how the game works, do a variety of boxing moves and time them correctly basically, with the exception of stretching, which you'll do before and after the work out.By getting a perfect score, and doling out tons of combos, you gather up points which you can spend on unlocking songs and costumes for your trainer, some of which have to be unlocked as you progress and get better ratings from said trainer (which you can also unlock by playing the 'Battle' mode.)I don't have many negatives besides the terrible voice acting, my biggest gripe is that the DLC is not part of this physical version, i doubt many people were rubbing their hands together with excitement for this getting a physical release, so delaying it by a few months and releasing it with the DLC would have been a much greater option - seeing as the DLC is ludicrously priced for the small amount of content you get with it, content which would have been a free update in many other games. In summary, if you feel a bit out of shape and need a little work out, and if you're a fan of Fist of the North Star, this might be a fun pick-up, it's a genuinely good work out even if you're a beginner, and hey, a little working out is better than none, so if you're scared of the gym, this might be a fun at home option for you, if you find yourself enjoying this, maybe upgrade to Ring Fit Adventure, which is a much better work out - and then maybe dedicate yourself for a more serious work out in the future.Surprisingly good, but terrible voice acting and highly priced DLC lowers my overall score for this game to a 4/5.EDIT: I forgot to mention this, but if you already own a copy of Fitness Boxing 2, then there's not really much reason to buy this as it's just a reskin with the addition of the 'Battle' Mode, and obvious Fist of the North Star music and characters (plus the DLC with an additional two modes), outside of this it's the exact same game, just figured this would be important to know for some.
