This is a simple and effective lumbar support - whether however you should actually be using a lumbar support is another question - so this item does the job, but should you be wearing it?The problem with support (and this applies to all kinds of supports) is that it weakens the structure it is supporting and yes - there is something as too much support! If you have a lumbar support aka corset, it will stop your own core muscles working.If you are in a lot of pain, then your own muscles will be inhibited from working by the pain, so it is better to get out of pain, keep your back straight and do your back exercises. You need to keep your stomach in and relying on a piece of neoprene to do that work for you and has its own long term consequencesCore muscles are your abs and your spinal back muscles and they need strengthening rather than wearing a corset. However if you need one, then this is a good one. But don’t use it more than you need to and do the exercises regardless and this is the reason I have only given it 4 stars

this is really quite comfortable, i can even sit in it , fits well, easy to use

Unfortunately, I got this for my boyfriend - who is not large build by any means - in a size small and it was too tight. I'm sure it would have provided good support, but the size is very small so I would advise people to buy it in a size larger than they normally would.

I have sciatica in both legs, and used to walk around doubled over and still in pain. This lumber support keeps me upright and the pain eases. It is not a cure but a very good aid

Pretty good quality product, good support. I am currently suffering from lower back pain and this belt has helped me in the early days when the pain was really severe and I couldn’t straighten my back with out experienceing a back muscle spasm. The back pain has been easing away as I have been working from home and basically laying in bed most of the time. When I am up, I will put this belt on to support my back muscle. I think I will be wearing at a frequent base.

This was recommended by my physio after a really bad back problem. Mainly because I don't use my abdominal muscles when bending and you do a lo of that when gardening. This belt is to keep me supported and a reminder to use the abs. It is comfortable and can be adjusted to your needs. It can make you hot though.

Je fais une taille S voir XS et j'ai pris du S, résultat des courses : SUPER !Bonne qualité, bonne tenue, je l'ai porté cet l'après midi car j'avais des choses à faire au potager, cela faisait une semaine que j'avais le dos et les reins hs, j'allais un peu mieux et l'envie de sortir c'est faite et pile poile le facteur est arrivé avec le colis (en avance) !Donc après un après midi et des efforts suite à des douleurs en bas du dos, ça va bien, et je suis ravie de l'avoir achetée. Je peux la mettre sois au dos, sois la descendre un peu sur les hanches, et elle tient super bien... Donc oui, après un après midi à avoir paillé tout mon potager ayant le dos fragile, je RECOMMANDE VIVEMENT CET ARTICLE !

Me ha resultado muy confortable. El segundo ajuste resulta muy útil.

This product was very quickly shipped to me which surprised me. The first time i wore it was for a couple hours, It was very comfortable and felt great. I then wore it to work for a four hour shift {on my feet} and I could feel my muscles getting tight from my back getting used to the extra support. I wore it again to work the next day and it worked great, muscles were getting used to it. I am just getting over two herniated disc's in my back so I'm hoping this supplies the extra support I need to not exasperate my injury.

Found this to be surprisingly effective. It allows you to vary the degree of tightness or looseness you need at any given time. It is 11" in length and can be worn higher or lower on the body. I was worried that it might be too tight on the stomach but it's made so that you can tighten the back without it tightening around the stomach area. It it light weight but a bit bulky although it could probably fit under a loose sweater without looking too bad. It's not a fashion statement but certainly is effective in supporting the lower back area quite comfortably. I got 2 sizes larger but one would have been better. I often wear it with a shoulder brace that I bought at the same time and in combination gives my whole back and shoulders really good and comfortable support.
