Lightweight, Warm, Easy to Store
This blanket is large, lightweight, soft and warm - perfect for airplane travel. I also liked that it was easy to get it back into the compact carry bag. Worth the money.

Perfectly packable solution for cold-natured people
Ahhhh, the joys of being cold-natured. People around you are complaining about how hot they are; meanwhile, you're slowly losing sensation in your toes. You try to make sure you always layer-up, but sometimes you just need that one more layer to make the difference, or maybe you're going to be dealing with multiple different temperatures over the day and don't want to have to lug a coat everywhere you go. If that sounds like you, you need to buy one of these fantastic little blankets. Now, let me start out by saying that this is NOT a quilt, or insulated blanket, or thick fleece. If you are going to be somewhere COLD such as sitting on the bleachers at a windswept ball game, this is not going to keep you warm. This is an extra-layer blanket that is designed to make the difference between being comfortable and being just that little bit too cold that makes you miserable, such as a car ride where someone is blasting the air conditioning. For that purpose, it works great! Here's a breakdown:Size: The size is really nice! Opened full it can pretty much cover all of you in a sitting configuration. Folded in half it can provide a thicker layer that just covers your lap or upper body.Fabric: This is a lightweight synthetic knit with a nice drape. The hand-feel is very smooth; this isn't one of those ghastly fabrics that catches on every little roughness in your skin.Portability: It folds and rolls up very easily (unlike some products that once you get them out of their storage bag you can never get them back in). The stored size is just a smidge bigger than a can of soda, making it a great size to stash in a purse or keep in your car or desk.Care: I'll admit that I haven't washed my entire blanket yet, but it spot-cleaned quite successfully with soap and water and the fabric wears well, not picking up a lot of lint.Versatility: Not gonna lie, this is the biggie for me. I bought my blanket originally because I like to have a throw blanket for the room when I travel. It worked great for that purpose, but because it's so easy to throw it in my car as a just-in-case, I've found myself finding even more uses for it beyond mere travel blanket. It's also saved me an extra clothing layer when I misjudged the weather; because the fabric is so fine and drapey, it can be used as a scarf or shawl with no one being the wiser. I've hung it up to block an annoyingly in-my-eyes sunbeam. I've draped it over the carrier at the vet's office to help calm my cat. Basically, what you're buying is a large piece of fabric that folds up really small, and that can be a super-handy thing to have. So handy that I've already bought a second one!

Fantastic travel or summer blanket
I love this blankie! have many travel blankets that I've collected over the years and this is definitely the most travel friendly. For some reason if I don't have the feel of a blanket on me I can't sleep even when it's too hot for any type of blanket so I needed a light and airy blanket that wasn't too warm. The name "coolmax" made me think this was a blanket that was on the cooler side so I decided to give it a try. The material isn't cool to the touch like I envisioned, but it is light, airy and breathable. The material is very thin- a bit see through even, but also very moisture wicking. - Fantastic for hot sweaty summer nights. If you want more warmth all you have to do is double it up. Women can also use this as shawl if they fold it up. I think for warmer weather as well as for overall travel this is the best blanket out there for it's versatility and packability. If you would like a warmer travel blanket I would recommend the Westin Heavenly Travel Blanket- (however it costs twice as much.) That one really does live up to it's heavenly name and is pretty popular among celebrity travelers. It's cuddly and soft and warm and folds up into a small pillow. This is what I bring with me when I'm going to a cooler climate or if a friend who gets cold easily comes with me. Whenever a friend uses it I always have to put up a fight to get it back; however it does not pack nearly as small as this coolmax blanket does even when rolling it up. If you want something that's extra warm Midwest Feather & Down has a travel down comforter that has 600 fill down. At 74 X 52 it is the largest travel down comforter I know of and It folds into it's own pocket to become a 17" pillow. Since it's down I find I have to fluff it up a bit after unfolding it from the compressed pillow pocket to give it some loft but unlike other down blankets you don't get sharp feathers poking out of the fabric. Which travel blanket you choose depends on a variety of factors, but of all my travel blankets I would say that this coolmax blanket is the most versatile and the one I will bring with me no matter which climate I am traveling to.

Solid travel blanket, gets the job done!
I recently traveled on holiday to London on Wow Air, which charges extra for blankets and other items. The airline's reviews were quite terrible, so I decided to make my flight as comfortable as possible by purchasing the CoolMax blanket, which I had first used when traveling in India with grad school classmates. The color I wanted initially (shadow green) was unavailable, but I am quite pleased with the vibrancy of "tree frog". The blanket is indeed quite flimsy in appearance, and I was skeptical at first, since I couldn't recall if my grad school classmate's blanket had been so thin. However, the CoolMax blanket kept me comfortably warm throughout my flight. It is compact, which was very useful for me, since Wow Air has a very strict carry-on luggage allowance, and charges an arm and a leg for overages, not to mention any checked luggage per leg of the trip!! I also like that the blanket came with a pouch, and can be easily folded and stored. I just took it out of the dryer and am disappointed that a few stitches on one side have come undone. A stitch in time saves nine, as my Mom always says, so I am about to mend it, and for that I will give it 4 stars. If shadow green becomes available, I will purchase that as well to use for my business travels.

Amazing Blanket
As someone who produces a lot of heat when sleeping, this is an amazing blanket!! I purchased it for a sailing trip in the Caribbean where the temperature at night was 29c and very humid.Amazingly this blanket "drapes" over me so that I sleep well but keeps me cool! Very compact for travel and quick drying too!Somehow it also keeps me warm if I am cool!I am not one for gimmicks, this one is the "real deal"

great, MUST have product for anyone travelling!!!
Really light and soft - useful as a warm blanket for cool nights, as a cape poncho for draughty walks and light enough for a cover up on etc beach!!! An all round, MUST have for anyone off on their travels, and a little bit of home comfort too !
