Love it so I bought a 2nd one
Bought this studio light as I needed backup for my current lighting setup. I already have a heavy 600w strobe which has a great punch but hate using it on a boom arm. The Godox MS300-V is probably a quarter of the weight of my 600w strode and packs a decent punch itself. I found it flawless at a recent portrait shoot workshop. No misfires. Lighting was incredible in a 120cm octobox. I like this light so much that I bought a 2nd one. Very happy with my purchase. Its just so small and light, easier to transport around. It also has a LED modelling lamp which is useful too

Very good flash head for its price
Used this on three shots so far, its been reliable, and for it's price well worth the money. Don't be put off by the fact it has a plastic body rather than metal, it's pretty sturdy and TBH if you drop any flash head, you are gonna kill the bulb anyway. Would defo recommend if you dont want to fork out a grand for a Bowens.

Excellent, Compact, Studio Flash With Useful 10W Modelling Lamp
This Compact Studio Flash (Model No. MS300V) arrived well packed, in a Godox branded cardboard box. Inside the box was the flash head, a lamp cover, a power cord, a cleaning kit, and a user manual. The MS300-V is an updated version of the already acclaimed Godox MS300. The 300V features a 10W LED modelling lamp, instead of a traditional modelling lamp. The LED lamp should last much longer than a traditional bulb would and allows the flash to be much more compact. The flash itself is well made and has a good finish throughout. The control panel at the rear is easy to use, and the LED display panel is nice and clear and easy to read. There’s audio feedback when you change the settings which can be handy in a noisy environment, however this can be turned off if your prefer silent operation. The flash has four trigger methods that can be used: Godox’s wireless X system; Godox’s older FT Series remotes (by connecting them to the receiver port in the rear of the flash); PC Sync cable, or it can be triggered optically as a slave unit. The flash features a standard Bowens mount, which means it is compatible with a wide range of different modifiers. The flash also has a built in umbrella bracket. There are a couple negatives I found. Firstly the manual could be much clearer, and preferably with longer, more detailed explanations of the flash’s features. And secondly, they seem to have used the lamp cover from the older MS300 model, which due to being designed to fit the large, old style modelling lamp, means that flash is not as compact as it could be when storing/transporting it.In conclusion, this is a well made, easy to use studio flash. In use it is excellent and gives consistent results. Given the quality, it is very good value for money, making it ideal for anyone just starting out with studio flashes, or for budget conscious photographers. As a result, despite the couple negatives I listed above, it is still easy to give this a full 5 star rating.~ Ethics Statement: Amazon provided me with this product and asked that I give my honest and impartial opinion about it. That’s what I’ve set out to do in this review, so I hope you found it helpful. ~

Inexpensive, well made studio kit
The Godox MS300-V is a really nice, lightweight studio strobe at a decent price.Godox kit is known for being well made and this certainly is.Nicely made, the build quality is good and the mounting parts etc all feel solid and it's pretty lightweight with the controls on it easy to see and use. There's a lot of adjustments that can be made on the light, so this ease of use is great. The bulb is covered by a big plastic protector that clips in where the lamp cover clips in.The flash has a decent recycle speed, with the ability to be a slave unit which is handy in studio. This is a nice bit of kit for a small studio, and if you're looking at your first studio strobe you'll be more than happy with this. It's also so light that if you are doing on location shoots, as long as there's mains power, it's nice and easy to transport too.
