Bank Heists and Drag Races
This book is less mafia coded and more heist coded. With confidential informants, dr*g deals, bank heists and muscle cars you get a glimpse into Nero Gallo’s world. Camille is a new face, not associated with the world we’ve seen thus far but is able to hold her own anyway. What a fun story! Highly recommend!

Camille and Nero are everything and then some
First Read - 4 STARS, Second Read - 5 STARSBank heists? Car chases? Fast and Furious type car races? Mafia? Spice? A genuine connection between the love interests? If you like any of those things, you will love this book. There are 3 specific things that make Sophie Lark an instant buy author for me:1. Playlists (she includes a playlist in every single book and even puts them in throughout the chapters so it can really immerse you into the story and listen while you read certain scenes)2. Character Art (Seriously, the character art included throughout is insane.)3. Research (You can tell in every book she writes that she has researched every interest that the MC's could possible have. There is a wealth of info)Savage Lover is about Nero and Camille, two people who grew up very differently but in the same circles. Nero comes from an Italian Mafia family with a crap ton of money, and a lot of dark secrets. Camille on the other hand, is the daughter of a struggling mechanic who taught her everything he knows, and the sister of a kid genius. She grew up poor, but always had a strong backbone. She's struggling with bills, her father being sick, paying for her brothers college and the problems just keep getting piled on until she gets tricked into a deal with a slimy police officer. Now she's having to do things and put herself in situations entirely out of her comfort zone, which puts her directly into Nero's orbit. Nero and Camille are completely different people with opposite lives, but they have common interests and values, and they quickly realize that there's a burning chemistry between them. And boy, is it HOT.I seriously love this entire series. Callum and Aida will always be my favorites, but after getting to read Nero and Camille's story for a second time, I think they're definitely a close second. Nero is just so wholesome, and Camille is the type of strong FMC that I love to read about. This book has some great romance in it, but it didn't overshadow the plot at all. I was interested throughout the entire thing and never once got bored and I loved the bonus chapter. I felt like we really got to learn more about Camille's family and the people Nero and her grew up around. And don't even get me started on the character art. Sophie's artist nails it every single time.

A good book, weird pacing NO SPOILERS
If you’ve picked this series up for a one off story or the whole thing, kudos to you they’re fun reads in my opinion. This one in particular caught me cause I love the aggressive bad boy of the family falling into hopeless love. Sue me. I finished it in three days cause ya know, life, but I probably could have finished it sooner.Savage lover is an easy read that’s fun and does have some tension that really had me concerned at some points. Honestly I was expecting the book to be more dramatic with a third act breakup or some of the other plot points being an issue but don’t worry, we got a happy ending here.Unfortunately, the book could have used some more of that drama in my opinion. To me it went from I don’t know you to insta love then rapidly to doing this *thing* then boom, ending. For me it was a little too quick without flushing out the characters which is fine for a fun little read, but it’s mid and thus gets my three star rating. That is said with love though Sophie I love you and will continue to buy and read all your books.

He's My Fictional Mafia Boyfriend, Your Honor, and I Love Him
It's an odd thing to admit that you're absolutely infatuated with a fictional James Dean-looking genius mafioso with poor impulse control in desperate need of a therapist, but alas here we are. Nero seeks everything that makes him feel alive and Camille is hardworking and painfully loyal to her loved ones and the two of them together is absolute poetry in motion. Sophie Lark made the assertion that love is being truly seen for everything that you are and the grand sum of all of your experiences and, holy rabies, does that resonate. Even loving Brutal Prince and Stolen Heir the way that I did, Savage Lover absolutely blew them out of the freaking water because love felt like a revelation in this tale and it was gorgeous. Plus Nero's headfirst plunge into slutty domesticity after years of alleycatting was absolutely hilarious to me.

Love the book so much!
Since the first one, i was already excited to meet Nero. He's the kind oh character that grips you and makes you think what's going on in his head. I confess I read the second book only waiting for this one, but in the end, I loved both of them, obviously this one soo much more. But just because Nero and Camille are awesome, I loved their shared passions, and their little arguments along the way, it made me smile so much more. Also, their perfect for each other, and that's what makes it more interesting.

Slow & Steady
I found the lead up into the story slightly slow, but once we got Nero and Camille together, it all clicked and picked up.As someone who had known her husband casually for years before we got together, I can totally appreciate how fast things moved with Nero and Camille. Plus both of them are older than Aida and Nessa in prior books and neither have this romanticized vision of life and love.Camille is an adult, who grew up fast and knows who she is and despite what she feels, she came across CONFIDENT!Nero has always seemed so aloof, so seeing him suddenly feel responsible and vulnerable was such a welcome change. Eager to see bits and pieces of them in the rest of the series to see how their relationship evolves. It was like we only got a small snippet of what they can be together.

Action packed story!
