The fruit of this jalapeno turns dark purple and stays that way for a long time before finally ripening to red. Peppers are somewhat larger than regular jalapeno, but with the same thick walls and fiery heat. Great for use in salsas and would be very attractive pickled with a mixture of other jalapeno colors. 75 days

I am so so disappointed. I have waited 3 months to find out ...
I know I ordered these late, but I bought some seeds to play around with this summer. I got 3 out of 5 to sprout. Now they are big enough to see the peppers and to my surprise they are Cayenne Peppers not Purple Jalapeno. I am so so disappointed. I have waited 3 months to find out I didn't get what I ordered. Just look at the pictures they are Cayenne.
