Easter Bunny's Coming to Town (DVD)Fred Astaire narrates the story of Easter, which actually began in the village of Kidville. The town was run and inhabited only by children, and one Easter morning the children found a sad baby bunny among them. They named him Sunny, and he grew up happily but liked to venture to a nearby town where only grown-ups lived--except for 7-year-old King Bruce. As a gesture of friendship, Sunny started bringing Bruce lovely painted eggs--the first Easter eggs ever. And every Easter thereafter, the rabbit would invent another Easter tradition--egg rolling, jellybeans, chocolate bunnies.]]>

Wonderful show
This is by far our favorite Easter show. It "explains" about the first chocolate rabbit, jelly beans, Easter outfits and more. Gadzooks.

Wholesome family entertainment!
I remember when these stop motion classics used to come on tv every holiday. Can’t find them anymore! So glad I came across this. Brought back wonderful memories of growing up!

Santa Claus is coming to town but for Easter
A cute story for kids, especially those who haven’t watched Rankin/Bass’s Santa Claus is Coming to Town for decades, and therefore won’t be bothered by the similarity of the stories. And I mean SIMILAR! It’s basically just the Christmas show as an Easter tale. It’s pretty and worth watching, though.

Easter Bunny
I bought this film as part of my search for Fred Astaire films that I hadn't got. I did not realise that it was a cartoon with Fred's voice dubbed. I haven't seen it yet and it may be quite a while before I play it.
