HEAVEN for rigid flat feet!!!
The media could not be loaded. An employee at REI recommended these to me over Hoka, On Cloud, New Balance, Brooks, and Keen. I could not be happier. At first I ordered a normal width but exchanged the first pair for the 9.5W (wide). I have a really hard time finding shoes that don’t hurt my feet since I work 12+ hours a day on my feet. But THESE—genuinely such high quality!! The material is strong and I can’t imagine it ripping anytime soon, the fit is comfortable and breathable, and for a wide shoe they are aesthetically pleasing. Especially the color! I was scared to order the blue but so many coworkers have noticed and said the color looks gorgeous!!I have wide feet—roughly 4 inches wide, and the wide size fit me much better than the snug normal width. If you need arch support, these shoes may not be for you. I find them so comfortable because there isn’t an arch creating unnecessary discomfort for my extremely flat feet. But I’m sure if you swap out the insoles you’ll be very pleased.Another thing to note is the zero heel-to-toe drop. I like that my heels sit slightly lower than my toes. It distributes weight so much better and neither the balls of my feet or my heels hurt at the end of the day. I wish I could give these a 6/5.

Comfy
The new gen of Torins has a thicker footbed and still the same great fit...snug in the midfoot, stable in the heel, and lots of toe room. The black ones are cool (originally got the grey and orange but returned them because I could not get over how much it looked like I was walking on Circus Peanuts! Cute but not for me!). I hope the fabric lasts longer on this pair than on my last though!!

Too tight around sides of toes
Altra torins have been a staple - a light in a dark field of competitors of running shoes: so freaking comfortable. Until now with these shoes. They are giving me blood blisters on the sides of my feet where my toes meet the footpad. So very very sad! Gone is the comfort. Arrived instead poorly fit shoes!!!!! So sad

Inconsistent sizing
I love these! Perfect fit, perfect for the gym because I don't have to worry about them getting filthy. I got the black with the white bottom. That pair is five stars!. I tried to order another pair in the aqua and it was too tight across the toes. Same size, completely different fit. Sent the aqua back, loving the black and white.

The foot shaped toe box is AMAZING
I wish I had found these shoes sooner. I have painful bunions from too many years spent in high heels making it very hard for me to find shoes that feel good in the toe box, and these shoes have such a comfortable roomy toe box! There was no break in period at all, and they are 100% comfortable no matter how long I walk. As a bonus they're also very cute!

Tight
I’ve owned several pairs of Altra’s and loved all of them. This pair however are extremely uncomfortable. The toe box is tight, and doesn’t have a lot of give like their shoes usually do. The quality seems subpar, I couldn’t get through a 12 hour shift in them. I’ve never had to “break in” a pair of their shoes, pretty disappointed in this pair.

Love at first try
I am new to Altra as my first purchase was the Lone Peaks for work. I decided to get a second pair for walking around town and decided to try the Torin 7. I really love the zero drop and wide toe box. My feet are very happy as I can walk without any pain (after being on my feet all day as a nurse for three straight 12.5 hour shifts). I developed posterior tibial tedonitis but the Torins enable me to walk pain free.Love the colorway, design, and technology.

Great shoes!
I rotate through my hokas and this brand, the zero drop helps my back. Shoe companies can't leave well enough alone and when I find a style I like I get a few pairs before they mess them up. I can never find hokas on sale but I found a few Altra torins on Amazon. A couple of them changed when I added them to my cart. I kept trying sellers and managed to find some that were as described. I was a little apprehensive about what I was actually going to get but I'm pleased to say they were what I wanted. But back to the shoe. I've gotten this brand before, the first time they were very comfortable although didn't last very long. They changed the style and the next ones had a weird tongue that didn't stay in place. This version that I just purchased is the most comfortable yet. I'm going to get one more pair before they screw it up, I didn't see anymore for less than the local stores, so I guess I'll be paying the full price.I have a lot of trouble finding shoes that don't hurt my feet or back, I really love this latest version of torin.
