Small Engine Repair Haynes TECHBOOK for 5HP and Less

Well Written and Accurate
I keep this book on the shelf in my shed to refer back to as a reference when needed. I've had this manual for a while now and it's full of my little penciled notes and grease stains. This book has paid for itself very quickly. The Briggs and Stratton chapters are the ones I use the most and they are well written and accurate. It's nice to have a real, physical book when wrenching on something and not have to fumble around with a phone screen. Thanks Haynes.

Small Engines
this is a good recourse for anyone interested in learning about servicing small engines. It starts with the very basics and goes as far as you want to take it. It also covers tools you will need and how to build a workshop if you are interested in taking it further. The rex is very readable with everything layed out in order. I gave it stars rather than for two reasons. One, it is full of pictures in black and white and some of them are not very clear. They are faded. Two, I wish it covered more engines than what it does. Some of the engines are dated. All and all, I recommend it but if you want to fix riding mowers engines, you need another book.

Always Haynes
I have bought a Haynes Repair Manual for just about all of the Engines that I have Owned!!!I'm now taking a Small Engine/Equipment Class. But this class is like most other Classes in that they don't show you how to Disassemble or Reassemble the Engines or give you the Specs. It mostly just tells you to do it.I went to Nashville Auto/Diesel College in 80 and 81. They furnished all of the Info. needed to Repair/Rebuild the Items we worked on. It was so Cool, on my last Phase they started a Hydraulic Class. All of the components where Clear and You could see how the System worked by watching the Red Fluid flow through the different parts of the Hyd. System. We about wore it out---they did buy extra lines and O-rings.But Yes, I'll be buying Haynes Repair Manuals as I'm able to afford them for my Wife is of Chemo.and It Costs alot.Haynes Manuals are the Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is for engines around the period of 1990.
Like all haynes techbooks, it is well and simply written. I would not have gotten it if i knew it didnt cover engines like GX25 hondas, etc.
