Poor user experience
I bought this item as my camera LCD screen can't increase font sizes and it is difficult to see the screen menus with glasses. While this kit does increase the font sizes so that I can clearly see the screen with glasses on, it is actually very fiddly to use in real life.It comes with a lace using which you can fit the kit tightly with the camera. But this lace is very fiddly to use. Either the kit remains loose, meaning you have to hold tightly both camera and this kit or you can't take the kit off the camera without untying. Some similar viewfinders come with a frame which attaches to LCD boundary permanently and the kit fits there on top. The advantage is that you can easily take the view finder on or of without much faff.As a viewfinder it is great, but given it is an expensive piece of kit, the overall user experience is poor while using it.

Must have Photographic Accessory
This item makes viewing your image in bright sunlight an absolute doddle. It is probably the most helpful Photographic accessory I have purchased and I would definitely not be without it now. I have so far used it on an older dslr camera with a 2.5 inch monitor and can't wait to try it out on my newly purchased Nikon D7500 which has the larger 3.2 inch Monitor at 4 times the resolution. The 2x magnification is great and wearing it round my neck and placing it on the screen when required is all you need for Landscape Photography. It is very good quality and extremely good value at £45 when compared to the hoodman loupe at about £140. I wear glasses and have no problem using it. As virtually all the reviews for this item were some of the best I have seen for any product on Amazon, I decided to take a chance and it looks like it has more than paid off. Brilliant.

A great piece of kit.
This is an indispensable piece of kit. If you're like me and you use studio or off-camera lighting, it allows you to check the back of the camera's LCD more clearly and proof the shot.In brighter - sunny - conditions, it's impossible to view your LCD to check exposures. With a loupe, that problem becomes a thing of the past. What I really like about this particular loupe is that the rubber eye piece is integrated so there is no chance of it ever falling off.A little history: I bought a loupe earlier in the year and its rubber eyepiece fell off and I didn't notice until the very next day. That particular loupe has since been removed from the Amazon market place but it may have been re-branded so this is a something to watch out for if you're looking to save £10 and go with a cheaper version.I haven't had any of the problems with the Matin loupe as described by other reviewers. However, I suppose my only complaint, compared to my previous loupe, would be that the rubber on the eyepiece is firm when you press it up to your eye for viewing. All in all I'm delighted with my Matin loupe. At over half the price of its nearest competitor, it's a solid piece of kit that is built to last.

Durable and sizable, but quite expensive.
Used with Canon 6D.This product is durable and quite large; made of tough plastic and what appears to be real glass, it fixes tightly to the camera body with a custom bungie-cord, and is supplied with a small storage bag and instruction booklet. It's not a perfect solution for live-view in bright daylight; It does seem a bit expensive (at £47), but it is functional and stays put.At least it has stalled an urge to upgrade from the 6D to a A7Rii. Whether that still holds when the new Canon mirrorless cameras start to drop in price? that is a different question...

Matin M-6296 2x View Finder Fantastic for bright light and any screen checking functions
If you have a DSLR its fantastic I loaned it to 2 friends for about 10 minutes and they both ordered one for their Nikon’s the next day. I bought this knowing it’s a little large for my Sony NEX7 but it still works great. Can be obstructed by tripod mount but I put a piece of foam, black plastazote about 10 x 10mm behind the top of the tilt screen originally cut to fit inside the long edge of the viewer, l originally cut this to block the gap as the viewer is oversize on the short edge only for the nex but it doesn’t really need it. Beind the screen as described pitches it beyond the tripod mount. So great for DSLR,s and as far as I,m concerned great for mirrorless. I bought it after seeing an older Hoodman product almost exactly the same a friend had. This is better made and has 2x magnification the hoodman is 1x also I don’t think the hoodman had diopter adjustment. Please note this is a comparison with an older hoodman product not the new collapsible one which I wonder how it doesn’t collapse when the eye is placed against it

Matin M-6296 2x for outdoor macro photography.
This review is based primarily on low down outdoor macro photography, mainly using a hinged rear monitor on Nikon DSLR's.The unit is well made, sturdy, sharp into the frame corners and the under £50 price includes the lanyard that costs around £11 extra with the over £100 competing product. When working low down photographing wild flower and fungi without a loupe a viewfinder can be difficult to line up with your eye and bright sky reflections can make a rear monitor difficult to use. This loupe excludes all external light and, combined with the 2x magnification, makes judging sharp focus and the limits of depth of field quite easy.I recommend it as a help for low level macro work. It should also be useful for judging depth of field in dimly lit church interiors etcLooking through a normal viewfinder I find Nikon AF with the 105 VR macro slightly easier and a little more consistent than manual focus without this loupe. This loupe is an advantage for manual focus. It is bigger than some smaller lenses, with the monitor end being 3" by 2.25" and the height 3.25".The soft pouch that comes with it I rate only 1 out of 10 so I use an old lens pouch instead.
