I think you meant "float", but to answer your question, this food sinks. I would suggest soaking the amount you are going to feed in a glass of water (10-15minutes) before feeding it to your fish. This helps to prevent buoyancy problems.

Anyone order this recently from Amazon and can confirm that MSG has been removed from ingredient list?

I noticed the inclusion of MSG when I first stared feeding this food a couple of years past. Didn't bother me they immediately thrived... both in size/color. Just pulled a bag out from the refrigerator w/ expiration 2015.08. This batch DOES NOT have MSG as an ingredient

It does both. Some of the pellets sink right away and some float for a bit before sinking. A tip; soak the pellets in water (from your aquarium) for a few minutes first. Then all of the pellets sink fast and its healthier for your fish. I've been feeding this food to my goldfish for years. They are big, healthy with great color and since I've been soaking the food before feeding, never a problem with air in their swim bladders (causing the fish to float). This is a great choice to feed your goldfish!
