Ninja 5.2" 4K HDMI Recording Monitor

Paired with my BGH1. I was skeptical about it for years but let me tell you, its like a brand new camera. Totally made it relevant again. Make sure to clear the screen because it records EVERYTHING you see on the screen. Since I don't have time to work around the Pro Res Resolve issue, I film in H265 422. Its far better than the stock 420 in the bgh1. While knowing, if I ever need to go further, Ill just film in raw. The screen is highly visible in bright sunshine. I wish I bought this years ago. The file size is actually smaller than the stock bgh1. I use the Crucial MX, it works like a dream. Made my camera relevant again. Saved me thousands.

The display is clear and vivid, it’s straightforward to use, it captures 4k and it has an SSD card port. The only downsides are this monitor runs super hot and it burns through batteries. Fortunately, it comes with an adapter that allows you to plug it into a portable USB battery or directly to the wall. I bought this monitor so I could record podcasts with a three monitor setup through a BlackMagic ATEM camera switcher. So far so good!

Will meet or exceed expectations with great build quality. Pricey but that's normal for this tyoucal type of video gear. Great for enthusiast and prifessional video work. Requires a moderate learning curve to use if you are unfamiliar with intricate video equipment and setups. Extremely compatible with various hardware/computer and camera setups.

I am unable to activate ProRes Raw and H.265 which is my main purpose for even buying it. I scanned the code, registered on the site and the only available feature for my atomos ninja 2 (2023) is AVID Dnx , why? why isn't ProRes Raw and H.265 available for my device. And yes I am on the latest firmware update for my device which is 11.04.00, the button doesn't even work on the website to download the token for AVID DNx neither. I just get a email with the file and its just a readme with no token. What is really going on? and Atomos customer care is neither here or there. Highly dissapointed. This is outrageous. Can someone help me please.

This is a good monior recorder but i don't know why they record my camera focus pint in to camere ? Can someone show me

I have the Ninja V and now this. I love this one. With the new UI update and included codec packages you can't beat it. Sure SmallHD has a great screen but Im telling you the Ninja gives it a run for its money.

Thank you Atomos for not only improving the Ninja from the V/V+ but adding EL Zone was not only a game changer but why I stuck with Atomos.

This monitor has great false color but the highlights look blown out. I use this with my FX3 and the monitor on the FX3 looks decent. The highlights are blowing out on this monitor and have less detail than the FX3 monitor. The highlights on the monitor are way off compared to what I bring into editing. Very disappointed. It heats up a lot and I wish I paid a little more for a better monitor.

I’m relatively new to this profession but unfortunately the product comes with very little help from the manufacturer. I tried to contact them with issues but unfortunately they only communicate through email. On this aspect I give them 0 stars but as for quality after I have to figure everything out I give them a 5 stars on quality.

For a videographer, this is a must-have. Clean recordings in HDMI output, external SSD for editing, loading LUTs. And the portable recorder seems solid. Quite a few accessories are required which inflates the price quite a bit. You can zoom in on the monitor screen while recording, which is very practical for filming in 4k. I have not had any problems but the device heats up a lot after about 30 minutes of use. It is possible to record a video during a photo shoot. A few years ago, I used an atomos ninja 2 and I was happy with it. Tenía dudas sobre comprar este producto en Amazon porque había varias reseñas de personas que les había llegado un artículo defectuoso. En mi caso todo llegó nuevo y precintado. Es la primera vez que utilizo un producto de esta marca y cuando pulsaba el interruptor no encendía. (Hace falta pulsarlo durante 2-3 segundos y esperar un momento). Por desconocimiento yo lo que hacía era presionar durante unos 10 segundos y me salía ese mensaje que muestro en la imagen. Sin saberlo estaba haciendo un hard reset. Para solucionarlo basta con apagar el monitor y apretar el interruptor sólo un par de segundos. Si ves que no te reconoce el SSD, debes ir a la pestaña STORAGE y formatear desde ahí el disco duro. Es sencillo de arreglar pero es un poco tedioso si es la primera vez que usas este tipo de productos.
