I purchased this thing expecting a high quality item, and it's very clearly not:- corners are sharp and have scratched or cut me 3 times already while cleaning and using it the first time- the weight on the press thing is a joke! I would need at least 2-3 more of these weights to press my tofu, so of course I end up putting things on top. I might as well go back to using cast iron pans with foodcans on it lol What's the point in having a nice $45 item that you still have to stack things on top of to get it to work right?- Says to press for 30-60 mins, then for another 30-60 mins... I don't have time to wait around for 2 hours for tofu to squeeze!- the containing area is too small for some blocks of tofu, I had to shave tofu off the sides to make it fit, ugh- the metal looks to be hand shaped, so there is unevenness all around- the metal looks like it could rust especially, especially on the connection points to the handle from the weight- the liquid pools in some areas of the container, so to really drain it you need to pick it up and turn it upside down every so oftenthe only redeeming quality is that it looks like it could be put in the dishwasher easily, but otherwise this thing is so useless, I can't justify spending $45 on something that needs so much extra weight applied to it to make it work right, has rough edges, and doesn't fit some of my tofu.Until they improve their design, this thing is NOT worth it. Sadly, it's gonna have to be returned.

We first purchased this one and it was 1/2 the cost of one made in the USA. We soon found out why. The company saw fit to outsource the manufacturing of the press to China. What a piece of crap! Do not buy this one. When we got it the tack welding they used broke and the sides were coming apart as well as one of the feet came off. Pay extra money and by the one made by Raw Rutes

Overall a very nice, sturdy product. It is very easy to use. If you want more weight for pressing, it's still easy to put a rock or something on top. My last press was a tofu xpress, made of plastic and lasted 5 years before cracking. I wanted my next one to last a lifetime. Oh, hello stainless steel.

This would have received 5 stars EXCEPT.... The muslin straining bags completely fell apart on the very first use... While straining my cooked soy mash to make tofu the bag completely fell apart and I nearly lost about $5 of organic sow mash and a fair amount of work... Get this for pressing Tofu, but that soy staining bag is complete junk and should be tossed!!!

Excellent tool

I've been after a tofu press for ages now both to press shop bought stuff, and make my own, but I couldn't find one that looked fit for purpose. I'm really pleased with this one, it looks good, works well and looks like it will outlast most of my kitchen equipment. My homemade tofu is getting better every time!

Ich habe mit dieser Tofupresse gestern zum zweiten Mal Tofu gemacht und dabei hat sich anschließend der eine Fuß ohne Krafteinwirkung oder Stöße beim Abwaschen von allein gelöst.Die Verbindung von dem Fuß (Metallstück) zu dem restlichen Teil sieht aus als sei sie nur geklebt worden.Sehr enttäuschend, da mit der Presse sehr pfleglich umgegangen wurde.
