Dylon Velvet Black (12) Hand Dye Die 50g Clothes Fabric Dye

Did exactly as I wanted, some detailed info below.Fabric in this case54% organic cotton38% recycled polyester8% hopes and dreamsThe fabric was UV effected, this would look like a faded black, patchy and often an orange tinge to it in places, sort of like a weak bleach has got on the material.I boiled a kettle full of 1.5l water, added the 250g salt (do not skip the salt, it is what makes the dye want to leave the water and uniformaly attach to yhe material) then i added hot tap water for a total of 6l in a bucket and stirred in the dye.Then kept moving the material for 15mins, then another 30mins in it, moving it about occasional.Cold rinse, warm rinse and leave to dry and then finally one quick wash on it own.Impressive uniform results, will see how it lasts

I followed the instructions on this and did not work. Total waste of money. Rubbish 😔

Works well, but I need to do it again to properly colour my formerly khaki cargo trousers. That's perhaps not surprising but it means I'd be approaching the cost of a new black pair. Also, doing in the sink meant some parts didn't take as well as others, leaving me looking like I've been on the building site! Good product though, if you don't mind the hassle (I didn't want to risk the washing machine and left-over residue.
