A Deftly Written Political Thriller
From early in this book, as the family prepares for Passover, Matan’s familial relationships, as well as those with his Palestinian friends, mirror the underlying nature of Middle East conflicts. There are also the generational facets that come into play. The author sets the stage for Matan’s becoming an individual who learns what his parents have always known. Israel must not be threatened. Hatred has become ingrained in the region, and Matan sees a course that may change the political landscape, not only of Israel, but of the world. The plot turns to the U.S. military and the quandary facing the government. Any decision has the potential for explosive and devisive reactions. The author’s ability to deftly describe scenes takes the reader on a political trek we will not soon forget. The underbelly of politics and some nefarious motives drive this political plot. The author has a firm grasp of the issues, and the reader is left to believe that more will be written of these crises, much more.

Very Interesting
Step aside Tom Clancy, there is a new kid in town. A very interesting and enjoyable story. The well versed research and technicalities to developed such a story was very impressive. The author definitely knows his stuff. Who in the world would know where certain office supply adhesives come from? However, I thought there was a bit too much detailed description of events and it distracted me from the story plot. Example: Everyone knows the procedure for going through security at airports. Who cares how much sugar someone needs in their coffee? I found myself skipping through a lot of them to get to the meat and potatoes of the story. At one point I had to remind myself that the story was a work of fiction. Fox has extreme views? While the New York Times and Washington Post presented more balanced and measured commentary? In reality, purely the opposite.I can foresee this story making for a block buster movie, on the Clancy scale

one step up from garbage
amateurish. There was nothing griping about the story line. The story only perpetuated his view of the arab-israeli conflict.Hopefully his next book will be a bit more professional.
