This cooler is fantastic. Used it for two days and was still very cold. I used the frozen blue skinny blocks of ice. The only downside is it is very hard to open because the zipper completely seals it. I guess that is what keeps it cold for so long

Excellent item. Nice design, very sturdy. I was worried about the zipper after reading many reviews that said how hard it is to unzip it. Yes it was super hard! Luckily my teenage son was able to unzip it. It worked well after applying the zipper grease that came with it. :)

Update: I've used this cooler several times now for grocery runs. I'm upgrading my rating to 5 stars but all my complaints about it stand. It really is not easy to use (put things in or take them out). But IT WORKS. Really well.Last week I threw two frozen ice packs in the cooler, strapped it to my front bike rack, and headed out to run errands. It was 87°F when I started and I was out for 2.5 hours. My last stop was the grocery store where I loaded up with 4 tubs of ice cream and a bunch of yogurt. When I loaded the cooler, I noticed that the ice packs were still frozen SOLID. When I got home and unpacked (~30 minutes), the ice cream was more frozen than when I pulled out of the store's freezer. If you need something that will keep your stuff dependably cold, this will 💯 do the job.Original review: I have mixed feelings about this cooler. It is very pricey. But I've seen a few different brands offering similar products and they're all in this same price range.I ordered this cooler because I use a bike as transportation. Which means that when I'm hauling frozen or refrigerated goods home from the grocery store, they're not in an air-conditioned car. They're out in the heat. And they're out of the refrigerator or freezer for a little longer than they'd be if I drove them home in a car.The good news is, it works. I pre-chill the cooler bag with freezer packs and my groceries stay cold during the journey. But the bag is really big. Worse, it doesn't fold or flatten. The sides, though soft, are rigid. The zippers are difficult to open (all the better to retain the cold inside). And the mouth just doesn't open up very big. So loading and unloading things is awkward and challenging. This is not the type of cooler that you just open up and reach into. It's a wrestling match every time. I don't like wrestling with a cooler.The molle webbing on either end of the cooler is really handy for strapping the cooler to my bike. It fits great on my shortbed tray and is easy to strap down. It also fits great on my front pizza rack, and, again the webbing makes it easy to anchor the cooler securely even when packed full.If keeping things cold for a really, really long time is your highest priority, this is a great product. But if you're looking for something to keep stuff cool for a family picnic and everyone will be using it and you want to pack it with larger or different sized containers and you want easy access even for little people, you should consider something else.

I ordered this intending to use it as a lunch box at work.I was not expecting it to be so big.The interior size is exactly what you might expect for a standard size lunch box.However, it's so well insulated that the exterior dimensions are pretty unwieldy for daily use.I don't hold that against it.If you live and work in Death Valley or the Sahara, and you want to keep your lunch cold, this is the box for you.It will conveniently hold about a six pack and enough ice to keep things cold for 2-3 days.I think though, for the average user, the amount of insulation in this box is overkill.It could easily be 2/3 the size it is and still be effective.I gave it 5 stars because it really does work.It keeps stuff cold for a very long time.But for my usage: packing lunch in a climate controlled building, it's too much.

My TestI filled this a little more than ⅓ full of ice to test it out. I did not pre-chill it (it would be optimal to NOT skip this step). I did not put anything else in the cooler so there was a lot of empty air space (again this is not ideal). It was kept indoors in temperatures ranging from 70-78 degrees, but was also near a window so it might be accurate to add 2-3 degrees to that.The ResultAfter 48 hours and opening it a few times in between, there were still a couple very small pieces of ice left. The remaining water was still very very cold. In my opinion this performed fantastically for a soft shell cooler of this size especially since I neither pre-chilled it nor filled it to remove empty space.The ProductThe zipper can be difficult to operate, particularly the first time getting it started. Thankfully Bushnell includes some lubricant to apply to the zipper to remedy this. This did not bother me as I just took it as a sign that the coldness would not be escaping through the zipper.The material and cooler itself are of the best quality. The look and feel of it is premium. The strap has a good amount of cushion to it. The earthy tones look great. This product would make any outdoorsman happy.
