Compact, durable, effective
If you are looking for a low profile cooking setup for your USGI canteen cup, this is the higher end option for that means. If you are looking for something cheaper, they sell ones made out of aluminum for cheap, but they don’t always fit the stand issue gear so be wary. This will fit inside a standard issue canteen pouch along with your canteen cup, your 1Q canteen, and your canteen cup top (which is how I usually run my setup, with a spork, iodine tablets, bic lighter, and spare earpro in the little side pouches). These are effective and I can usually get water boiling with 1 or two fire blocks or a fistful of dried birch bark

Very versatile stove.
I really like the design of this stove. It is large enough to be used as a twig stove but also goes great with my Evernew alcohol burner or Hexamine tabs. With this stove I no longer have to bring the cross stands and a wind screen. The design is such that the canteen cup sits a quarter inch or so above the surface so the flames come up through the surface holes and more efficiently heat the cup. In a pinch, the surface can work as a small grill. It is lighter than I thought being stainless steel but I wish someone would make it in titanium.

Led down the yellow brick road for the 2nd time.
In the sales info on this piece, they list the measurements of the stove as "8.1"L x "5"W x "8.1"H.The actual measurements are "4 3/4"L x "3 1/8" W x "3" H. This seems to be deliberate fraud. Themanufacturers are Asian, and I am not saying I know, but I do wonder if this kind of action is approved? At any rate. Be Very Careful when buying this stove. It is not fit to use with a Canteen, and is not thepiece they are advertising as selling. I really don't know why Amazon is allowing this to continue?
