Used instead of TV soundbar
The selection of connection options meant I was able to quickly connect this speaker system to my TV with no issues at all. Our use case is to improve the sound of a 32" TV in a caravan. There's no room for a soundbar/woofer combination. Plus stereo separation is important. Volume was set to 50% on the speakers and fine volume control was made using the TV remote. I was very quickly blown away by the depth of sound on first test using a radio channel on the TV. The dials to control bass and treble are most useful when watching high dynamic range movies where you might be conscious of explosions bothering your neighbours. Or just want to eq a piece of music a little more to your taste. Overall the sound is extremely clean, punchy, crisp, but not too heavy on the bass or treble (unless you adjust this with the EQ of course). The cone of sound is quite narrow and the speakers benefit from some toe-in when you wish to listen more intently. Regular placing is fine for movie viewing in my experience. There is sufficient cable to expand the sound stage or to accommodate much larger TVs. I would have no hesitation in using these speakers in my primary music listening setup via an amp and would also be very happy with these connected to a pc for gaming. The speakers are particularly attractive and have no garish led lights to distract you. The blue power lead is quite subtle. The only slight negative is the power button which is placed at the bottom of the speaker and operating this one-handed will result in pushing the speaker around the surface it is stood on. The supplied rubber feet provide good isolation from the standing surface, but not sufficient anti slip for on handed power operations. Not a big deal at all and certainly nothing that would put me off buying a second set. Easy to setup and adjust to your liking, attractive design, multiple connection options, great tone and ample volume range for most household situations.

Really nice budget speakers
Excellent small speakers which Iโm using with Ableton Live and for the radio from my laptop. Lovely full sound for the small size. A bit bassy for me but there are tone controls on the back so just turned their down. ยฃ60 is a bargain. Snap em up

Great Entry Level Monitors That Sound Like Speakers
I just picked these up on an Amazon warehouse deal and Iโm pretty pleased about them. First off, worth reminding yourself what youโre paying for and getting here. ยฃ85 is buying you a pair of powered monitors/speakers, complete with all the cables youโd likely need to attach to your computer. I didnโt pay extra for the Bluetooth version. Build quality is pretty good too, but youโre not going to take these out and marvel at them. Theyโre pretty lightweight and feel like they are built to a price point - thatโs because they are! Out of the box they feel very functional and for me, thereโs no wow factor here. Again, Iโm ok with this, but just wasn't sure what I was going to get after reading lots of reviews. They look good when cited, but they donโt have any real โpremiumโ vibes, just to manage any expectations. Mine were in hindsight too high. There are compact and wonโt hog too much of your space. Iโve got mine on my desk either side of my monitor with some foam pads underneath to help with the sound/vibrations. Turning on the Mac and running a tune in Logic, it swiftly becomes apparent to my ears that these feel very much like audio speakers. What you get is quite a warm and pleasant sound. It doesnโt feel โneutralโ like a monitor arguably should, but more like a hifi speaker. Itโs quite a โniceโ listen, and most people who are producing music might tell you that monitors are supposed to sound flat and not add any aural โcolourโ - in my opinion, these do. All is not lost. You can adjust the bass and treble at the back of the powered speaker. I dropped the bass by three and the treble by about one and a half of the markers. This makes the 3.5s better in my opinion. I have them slightly toed in facing me at ear height and they sound quite ok now. Another tip is not to have them too close to the wall. Maybe 10 cm away at a minimum to stop them being a little bass-boomy (yes, still possible with tiny 3.5 inch drivers) At low volume levels I think you can get a pretty decent mix out of these monitors. Itโs important to be objective and remember what youโre paying here. Itโs easy to discount them, and to say pay at least twice as much for a more flat/neutral sound, and there might be something in that, but for those on tighter budgets, or starting out with music or creative production.. or - and this is for me may be where they excel - for general listening or gaming or streaming music and movies. In this instance I would say these speakers are very versatile. Connect them up to a laptop or phone and you will get a nice sound from them. Calling the studio monitors almost limits their potential. Honestly? These probably are very well pitched at people starting out their journey into creative production, but in my opinion they are not neutral or flat, and that helps when you are mixing. They fact that they sound pretty good weirdly isnโt a good thing sometimes! But Iโm trying not be too harsh. The fact that these are distributed by Fender and when you register the warranty you are taken to a Fender website lets you know these are backed by a big name and youโre getting some assurances there. If I was richer, Iโd maybe look at the Yamaha HS, JBL 305, or KRK ranges. All available on Amazon, but in most cases nearly twice the price. If youโre on a tight budget, these for many will fit the bill.

Good sound whn played in, improved by an external pre-amp
Like many speakers and headphones, these speakers don't sound that good straight out of the box. So before you send them back to Amazon, play them in. When I was a member of Amazon Vine, I used to play-in headphones and earbuds for several hours before reviewing them. The speakers are active, but only the left speaker has the amplifier with a wired feed to the passive speaker on the right. They come with a 3.5mm TRS jack connected to right and left RCA plugs, 3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TRS jacks, and bare-end twin cable to connect the right-hand speaker. The left-hand speaker front panel has an on/off switch, volume control, auxiliary input 3.5mm socket, and headphones 3.5mm output. At the rear and the connections, and small pots to adjust high and low audio response. As the speakers are near-field, they are intended to be heard within about a metre, so they are ideal for placing on a computer desk provided that for music, the tweeters are on the same level as your ears. I frequently use the speakers for Zoom and Teams online so I lay the speakers on their sides below the monitor. I put them upright in front of the monitor to listen to music. Whilst they sound reasonable with a connection to my Windows computers, it's improved by placing a pre-amp between the computer and the left speaker: in this case, a Fosi K5 pro.

The speakers are terrible, they play really good sound and have incredible lows, easily connectable aswell. Disappointed with the product

I did some brief research on budget/beginner hobbyist studio monitors for listening to music and music production, and the only con that most places mentioned about these were that the bass/low end can be lacking on these at higher volumes. However, I've just received them today and have been putting them through my gym playlist (mostly hardstyle, so heavy basslines), classical music and clubbing music and have not been disappointed. The bass could be stronger, however I think most people other than the biggest bass gremlins will enjoy these, especially for this price. Very clean sound, and volume is plenty for casual listening even at the dial half-way.

Incredible tbh. Nothing beats these when it comes to budget friendly monitors. Check for yourself on YouTube reviews; these are great.
