Well made, large wheel, great for degus but sometimes doesn't last that long!
Nicely made wheel and indeed is very quiet - noise comes from the fact the cage bottom is mesh and it bounces a bit when they are running at full tilt. Is getting a bit chewed up (have degus) and one decided to remove patches of the cork lining but are still safely using it -they adore it and it is in constant use usually with all four trying to get on together, there is room for two at a time. Good sturdy base. Only real problem is the size - wouldn't fit through the door (I did realize this before I purchased!) and had to remove base of cage to access, however they do need a big wheel to prevent spinal problems when running. All in all very pleased with this and would recommend.-- 3 months down the line and what's left of the original wheel looks like a lollipop (see photo) - the degus really enjoyed demolishing it. Have since moved on to a solid metal (tic-tac) wheel. Do have another of these wooden wheels in another cage which seems to be lasting better - think it depends on the degus you have, but rodents will be rodents - still think its a good wheel if you are prepared to pay for replacements every so often.

All hamster wheels should be like this.
Well wow! If hamster wheels were cars this would have to be the Rolls-Royce. Itâs absolutely wonderful. The wheel is so well made to the highest quality that is very rare in the small pet world. Itâs beautifully made. The wood is smooth and solid - no splinters here! I bought this after noticing that our Syrian hamster was rarely using her wheel and on the rare occasion she did use it, I was increasingly concerned about the arch of her back. This wheel enables her to run with a straight spine whilst giving plenty of width too so sheâs not half coming out of it all the time. The cork gives a nice flat, grippy but gentle surface on her feet and itâs lovely and quiet. It took seconds after placing it in her cage for her to try it out and sheâs absolutely loving it. Itâs absolutely worth the money as I have no doubt this will have a very positive impact on her overall health and happiness. One thing Iâve done which Iâd probably recommend is just anchor the back of the weel with a bit of string to the side of the cage. Due to its size, and the fact that I have a hamster who loves to climb and get into nooks and crannies, I thought it would be worth doing this just to avoid it ever tipping over when she decides to squeeze behind it and clamber around. Would never go back to any other wheel after this.

Little pricey and a couple of design flaws, but keeps my hamster happy đš
Beautifully silent and a great size for a Syrian hamster. Itâs not well-documented that Syrian hamsters need much bigger wheels than what the pet shops try fob you off with. This one is aesthetically pleasing too which is an added bonus. The two things I wasnât too pleased about:1. It doesnât rotate perfectly round, I donât know how to really explain this without physically showing it but it looks wobbly/lopsided when it turns.2. My hamster lives in a tank, and I had the wheel at one end of the tank (as per photo), but she kept pushing bedding underneath it which meant she kept getting a wheel that was unable to turn. They should have made it with a bigger gap between the wheel and the base. To get around this, I attached it upside down to the side of the tank with Velcro (as per photo). Iâve since removed the base which which just screws off and that took a lot of the weight away so it just sticks perfectly without the worry of it falling/getting pulled off (I check it regularly). If youâre going to do the same please make sure you get the actual Velcro brand and make sure you use enough of it.Overall, a good wheel, a little pricey and a couple of design flaws, but it keeps my hammy happy.

Not safe - waste of time and money
After reading the mixed reviews I decided to take a risk and buy- am sending it back ASAP. The wheel came in terrible packaging, no protection at all, the wheel itself was covered in spinters and even after sanding it down it still felt prickly. After sanding it down to a better standard and cleaning it I gave it a test spin, the wheel was quiet and seemed smooth, the only issue was that the cork on the inside that the hamsters run on felt rough on my fingers so I put it in my hammys home just to test run. He immediately went to it and started running but less than a minute after I heard a sort of clunking noise and the wheel seemed to drop? I guess the axis was off or something because it started to spin at an angle, was wobbly and once it made a full turn it dropped. spin, wobble, drop. This caused my hammy to lose his balance and fall off so I took it out straight away. I was planning to replace the Cork anyway due to the roughness but the unstableness of the wheel made me decide to arrange sending it back, I'm disappointed but not too surprised and I've seen a few bad reviews of this particular wheel.PROS: apart from the splinters the wheel does look good, it's quiet and is a good size for dwarf hamsters. If it wasn't faulty in anyway it'd be 10/10CONS: possibly dangerous, wonky and unstable. Spliters can cause cuts, wheel off axis, Cork on the inside of the wheel was uneven, felt like sandpaper, not suitable for long term use on little paws, wood can stain easily, overall poor finish and bad packaging.

Alright
The actual wheel is okay but the cork inside was coming off within a week of it being used, but okay for price. Very quiet as well

Sturdy wheel :)
Sturdy wheel and my hamster loves it! He has however eaten away the cork.. not ingested, just picked off.. happy with it still, good size.
