Whiten Lion STILL rocks!!!
I was looking forward to watching some old clips of white lion, and was suprised to see the video seems hurried together. The quality of the live clips,is basically from 2 different shows, and is not the greatest quality. The main show they use is better than the other main one,but it could have definitely been cleaned up. The other main source almost looks like it was taken from youtube, but overall I still found it an enjoyable watch. My estimated quality would be 8 out of 10 for the better one,and 7 out of 10 for the other main source. Now with that said, there are some positives too...1st,it does come with a bonus cd,thats probably worth the price alone, and has some cool outtakes and different versions of the popular songs, that is quite enjoyable, and they are in Great quality.Secondly, the DVD does have some decent bonus features, like interviews taken from the escape from brooklyn videotape, and a few tracks from Mike Tramp's current band hes in. So,if your looking to take a trip down memory lane,I think its worth the price of admission :-)

SO happy to see White Lion in Prime!
Just the fact that you have White Lion in the Prime Music Video collection is great, but this does cover a lot of live territory over their lifespan. There are other collections by them and SO many other groups of this era that came out during that time that include live footage, interviews, music videos, etc., that I would love to see added as well. For a live video collage though, this is good one!!

5 * with a dose of given what it is...
It's not ultra produced. I have no idea about the drama what the drama they may have went though. There was obviously something...Maybe personal, maybe interpersonal. It's pretty sad on a lot of levels.First Vito is probably one of the best guitar players ever up there with Vai, Eddie in his prime, or Adrian Smith. Simply brilliant. There's a lot of stories and excuses on both sides for the bands break up and then trying to keep it going. So no need to focus on those things and tarnish what became special to many of us.The group had a really special sound and charisma in their prime. Would be interesting to fully know what corrupted for that. The industry was crazy at that time. They became a double A act but never made it to the deserved Bon Jovi level for example. All of their concert appearances seemed nearly amateur home made attempts. Blame management. I kind of think there must have been a lot of negative influence there IMO. Anyways...The studio production level on Pride and Big Game was over the top. Wagener was an amazing producer all of his records were perfect.I'm biased though because Wait is still my favorite song of all time.

If you know White Lion, this fits the expectation
White Lion were never among the most successful bands of the late 80s. Besides their huge hit ballad "When The Children Cry", the quality of their songs and the success of their singles and albums never matched the outstanding musicianship of its members. This band was, to me, a rare case where each individual part was vastly superior to the combination of them.So this couple of shows come across in the same way. You see Mike Tramp's excellent vocal ability carry undeserving songs and some likeable tunes, you get lots of pyrotechnic Vitto Brata solos and a fantastic pounding hard rocking solid backbeat in the rhythm section of Jamez Lomenzo and Greg D'Angelo. However, the concert never builds up nor reaches a zenith. Even their hit "children cry" feels oddly out of place bc of it's sing along lyrics trapped in the middle of simple and unmemorable quasi-omantic mid-tempoers yearning of lust and loss.In all, I was slightly disappointed, but not so much, as I had already lived this each and every time I got a White Lion album back in its day. Pride, Big Game and Mane Attraction never lived up to the expectations I had after listening to the first single out on radio. Neither will this concert live up to the expectations of the kind of live footage we've seen from other bands from the same era, whose videos showed a far more exciting live presence and songs were much more memorable, despite lesser players.

GREAT SHOW!!!
People complain about the stupidest things. Thank God we have any document of this band in their prime. ....and Vito was the best of the 80's guitar players

Big stupid fun! I'm a huge fan of music of this era. It's clips from several shows; the video and sound quality ranges from good to excellent. If you like this stuff, you'll love this.

A blast from the past.
It could have been more creative and original than the typical commercialized recordings for radio.

Not bad
Old footage, good songs & musicianship. Not awful video, but not great either. Subtract 1 star for A/V, but they rocked! Enjoy.

Entäuschend...
Der Sound ist unterirdisch schlecht und das Bild ebenso ist . Ich kann hier keine Kaufempfehlung geben. Traurig um die gute Band und die Songs. Diese DVD ist nicht mal nen Euro wert!
