First use the V-shape tool to grasp the tick near the skin and lift it out. The super-fine tweezers are designed for removing small ticks and nymphs. This works great for that purpose. The kit is compact and comes in a leatherette pouch, making it easy to carry in a backpack, glove compartment, or purse. It is a great value for the price. Very well made. It is so easy to use if you follow the instructions. If you hike, have pets, or live in a rural area this kit is perfect. I have one for the house and one for the car.

I haven't had to use these yet which is a good thing but bought them in a panic when my dog had a tick on her a few weeks ago. I gave this four stars because it did come quite later than it said it was supposed to. Quality wise it's really nice and the case is super compact and fits in my purse, car and fanny pack. I bought one for everyone in my family!

Never removed a tick before. Found one on my cat and used this simple toolkit. The whole tick came off, first try. Head and everything. Cat was very pleased

I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to get the kit. Today is Thursday, but I was supposed to get my delivery on Monday. Although I had a different tick removing tool and three of them, I could not find not one. I ordered this one with high hopes. It got the job done. My furry friend will feel much better and he’s happy that he got peanut butter for being a good patient. Lol. The tools are nice and compact with decent weight, but big enough to hold in large hands. My picture may have a little black on the tips because I sanitized them with fire. The tools were ready to use and ideal for the task at hand. The leather pouch is simple yet seems like it may last long enough.

There are cheaper alternatives out there, but these looked to be of better quality. On review, both tools appear to be made of good stainless steel, and nicely finished (no sharp or rough edges, except of course the tweezers' points). The knurled plastic coating on the tick puller is grippy enough to give you good control. There's none of that on the handles of the tweezers, but they're flat, you don't need it. We've had a mild winter, and wet spring, so lots of ticks in both western and eastern WA, earlier than usual. Walking and working in the woods, or on our off-grid place, we just can't avoid the brush and grasses where they lay in wait. My wife and I have already found several ticks on ourselves, and several dozen on our lab, Hannah. We check during and after every outing, and find most of them before they've had a chance to dig in...but a few have escaped notice long enough to draw a little blood from poor Hannah. I've given her a Bravecto tablet, and it does drive them off her, but it seems like it can take a couple of hours for the ticks to recognize the poison and get lost...and when they jump ship, they sometimes wind up in the house or cabin, to munch on us later. At first I was disappointed that the slit in the tick puller didn't fine-down enough to grip onto the small ticks...then I read the instructions, realized I should have been using the tweezers. They work great on the tiny nymphs. Just do as the instructions say, pull straight up, slow and easy. We've been careful, and haven't snapped off a tick's head yet. The small plastic ("leatherette") case fits easily in my shirt pocket, so we take the kit with us when we go outdoors -- we can be gone for hours, and don't want to give the critters a chance to bury-in. The case seems sturdy enough to last a good while. If it wears out, I'll put the tools into an old aluminum cigar holder. You need some kind of holder, the tools are so small they'll get lost if carried loose. I wasn't real sure we'd get a lot of use out of these, but it looks like we will. Glad I bought them.

Product is well made. Both tweezers & pry bar have individual slots in leather case-awesome. 1 piece of feedback for the team, it would be nice if the "info card" was designed such that it could be placed in the holder. I put clear "box tape" around mine & then cut it in order slide 3\4 of it into case flap holder. The forked tongue end worked better than I expected. It’s thinner than my other one. But still stiff. The polished finish helps it slide under the tick better. I have one of those ’tick keys’ but they are only good when the tick is easily accessible.

Brought this to remove a tick inside our dogs ear and it works a treat . Quick upwards flick with tick removal tool and out it popped . Handy case it came in too , plus tweezers. . Would recommend .
