Book #2
Princess and Chris! Quite the whirlwind. Sexy with a twist of drama.Though this book was shorter than the first two books in The New Haven Series, I still enjoyed it. It was nice to read about them in Restore Me and then receive their backstory in Revive Me Part 1 and 2. Cannot wait to get to present day with them.I did feel like this book was a little more rushed than the first two of the series. A few tiny inconsistencies were found in the writing of this one (I did not notice any in the first two books). There was nothing taken away from the story with the inconsistencies but I noticed them.Great writing style. Realistic love story. Well written. In the next book, I can’t wait to find out more about Chris’s mom, siblings, his career, and of course his relationship with Mallory. And maybe an update on Sloane and Dominic…

Get ready: Love and Drama!!
This book was worth reading just for the trip to the mountains 😜. Book 2 was also well written and filled in the gap in Chris and Mal's relationship between college and Eric's death when Chris tries to re-enter Mal's life in Book 1, "Restore Me". I love this story and the love they continue to have for one another despite all the obstacles. I don't generally like the sinister and evil character and storyline as with Chris' Dad, Reese, but if it leads to the HEA, I'll tolerate it. Otherwise, this is a very good read and I can't wait to the next installment promised to be released this Spring 🌼. 👏👏👏👏👏

Heartbroken
This story was not nearly as enjoyable to read as the others but my goodness it was written well. The emotional journey that Christopher and Mallory are on has me wanting to yell out "Uncle"This is such a tragic love story. I can't believe how despicable Reese is. He is corrupt to his core.I honestly don't even see a happy ending in this pair's future, I can't even call them a couple. Nor do I think I even want to.This book, although written extremely well, kind of soured me on the entire series but I still can't take away from the art that JL Seegars magically weaved this complex story with.I usually don't give out 5 stars to books that end on cliffhangers or books that leave me feeling lost or empty, but I just can't take away from how well this story was written and how much I LOVE the love that both Christopher and Mallory share.

incredible !!
JL Seegers is one of the most prolific writers I’ve ever read. Normally, I feel like a fly on a wall high on the ceiling, and love scenes, at times, feel included for profits; click bait. But JL Seegers I become each character!!. I can feel the texture of the couch or taste the sweetness of the grapes! The little details makes it so realistic. JL is such a great writer, she could write a gripping story without explicit sex. The scenes aren’t a short cut or a way to hide weak writing ability; instead she writes scenes hot enough to smelt mettle without loosing the complexity of the couples. She deftly uses those intimate moments as a way to continue telling their story.Brava 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

fluff
A whole lot of fluff..slow storyline..poor climax but not shabby. It gives off Tyler Perry vibes. Could’ve been written a lot bette.

J.L. MAKES BOOK HUSBANDS!!! The patience and understanding that Sebastian had for Nadia was heartwarming and healing.Nadia got to evolve into a more confident and secure person and I love that Sebastian was patient with her.I’ve been reading for romantic research and this slow burn book has many!

nothing like the first book
I truly do not know what to make of this book. I enjoyed the first book so much that I had such high hopes for this one but I was honestly quite shocked, and a little disappointed. This story was nothing like the first book. I did not really enjoy the cheating aspects of this romance, and by the end of the book, it felt like I was reading a totally different story than the one I started with. I do hope Chris and Mel find their way back to each other but I’m not even sure that I can read part two of this book in the next book. However, I am quite intrigued about what happened in the end, even though it seemed like a different story altogether. Time will tell I guess about if I’m able to pick up the next book in the series.

Only love can hurt like this …
Oh the emotions… i’ve shed some tears through this second part of Mal and Chris’ story. It’s had my stomach in knots. I felt all of Malsfeelings and even more…. there was so many questions spinning in my mind, so many screams wanting to shout at them both….Their reunion was raw yet so heart warming, Theo connection as deep and intense as their first time together, only showing how good they are, true lovers but once again timing is not right.JL Seegers writing gets better and better and i cannot wait for these two finally get that happy ever after …

Slow burn with amazing writing
I struggled with the length of Part 1 and the time needed for Chris and Mallory’s story to unfold. I really like this authors work so decided to continue and finish the book. I’m so glad I did and I enjoyed Part 2 so much more even though it is full of heart aching moments. I love the way JL Seegars writes and the emotion conveyed through her words. Such a beautiful writing style alongside steamy and contemporary storytelling.I’m now patiently waiting for Part 3….
