Ok, I'm not a friend of the author, and am not a student of his. This is a real review of the book. I bought the hard copy.To get the most out of this book, you need to look at it from two points of view. First, the content of the book, what you learn. Keonigs essentialy tells you that "working an event" is a great way to prospect. I can promise you, this is true. Meeting people at events (on marketing, or for businesspeople) is a very select group of people that are used to spending money at events. You almost can't get a better prospect, if you are selling to the niche that attends. The more they paid to attend the event, the better. But you can still get great results at free events.I know three marketers that go to large marketing events about three or four times a year. And that's the only prospecting they need to do. It's that effective.Then the author gives you every single template you need to meet the prospects, what to say....everything, and then use your phone to send them texts and videos, culminating in a high ends sale a few days later. I know these techniques work. I've used them in the past to makesales, and they have been used to make sales to me. The methods are sound.You also get complete examples selling several different high end services. Things you could sell to business owners, other marketers, book authors...and of course, by seeing so many examples, you can adapt easily to any kind of offer. Truly a quick great read.Now lets look at the book itself...the product. Here is where many lessons are learned, if you ever want to use a book as a marketing tool. Koenigs does it beautifully, and with class.First, the price. At $3.99, the author is making nothing, and the price makes the book an impulse buy. One I'm glad I made.The book is promotional. That means the book is written to serve a a sort of extended brochure of the author's services. But you probably won't mind a bit because he addresses that up front, the book is priced so low, and you really get actionable content. The last several pages are marketing related, advertising the author's services.And the part I think is the most instructive is that each example given, is both instructive, and also sells a service that the author provides.So, you are really seeing several sales presentations for different services that you can then buy from the author. It's like buying a book of proven successful sales letters...each one selling something that the author sells.The reason you don't mind, is that you are truly getting top flight instruction as you read the book, and the author is a marketer, after all.And in the end of the book, he asks that you write a review for the book. He does it with class, and I didn't mind a bit. And so here is that review.

Everytime I watch one of Mike's videos online I learn something extraordinary which delivers value to my business. His books are no different.Money Phone is an amazing book that is more of a practical map that any business owner or consultant can leverage for differential success. It is packed with clever strategies that anyone can leverage. Further, I think Mike Koenigs provides an example of how powerful a book can be as a lead magnet and sales tool. The book is not for everyone. Then again, success is not for everyone either. It would be silly not to invest your time and what little money it will cost to gain the knowledge and insight from Koenigs' success.Thanks Mike for the map to success!

this assumes you are a consultant and open to writing, printing your own book..while many of us are business people who call on business people who do not hang out at trade shows/events which btw happen once a year and most likely will not be in the town you live in..More unrealistic for normal people crap. I call on doctors, this presumes they are going to give you their phone number...not realistic...not impressed so farand instead of buying the book when you do buy the book, author says oh btw you could have gotten this for free online instead of spending money for it!! I wish i could get my money back on this one...don't like being sold something hyped up then told its free online

This book is NOT ABOUT TURNING YOUR SMARTPHONE INTO A MONEY MAKING TOOL!!! This book is the author selling his products that he has on separate websites and talking about each one individually throughout the book and then saying you can model him to make money. There are some good ideas here and it would only be great if the book included an affiliate program to the author's supposedly money making products, which it doesn't. The author's products offered in the book seem to be very good investments, which is why I didn't give this falsely advertised book 2 stars. Again this book does not give the reader specific strategies to be successful with making money ON A SMARTPHONE, instead it just goes over the authors various profitable but overpriced products and talks about how the author has made millions off his businesses. If you have over $500 to invest in one of the author's products you might find something useful here but for beginning entrepreneurs with a smaller budget this book won't give you any solutions, only paths to line authors pockets with ridiculous amounts of money for his information services.

Wow is all I can say. I’ve seen Mike speak at a business conference before and he is a refreshing ray of sunshine filled with fun, enthusiasm, and practical ideas to grow your business and become the authority in your field. I purchased the book following the conference, read it, but then as so often happens, did nothing with it. Well, I just saw Mike present on this book again live and wow! The simple scripts he uses are brilliant to generate new leads and follow-up with prospects and lost clients. Text and video is where it’s currently at. Although I won’t scrap email, integrating text & video into one-on-one conversations is no doubt going to catapult my business and give me a leg up over my competition. You’ve got to read this book if you want more clients.

Definitely over delivered. The bonus material provided is great and really helps bridge the concepts presented. A must read for sure.

I've been following this man's career since 2005 and buy everything he produces because it just works. One programme alone made me a full time income. Devour what he teaches them implement- nothing changes till you do!
