Licorice pastels have become more and more difficult to find locally. This is a great value and tastes fresh. Not sure what some of the other reviewers are complaining about (freshness, flavor or crumbly) as I found the overall condition of the candies to be perfect. Good blend of mild sweetness with licorice flavor

I ordered these Pastel Licorice for my father as part of his bday gift - He turned 91 on July 15th. I always do a special gift box of items I bake that he loves (as he lives in AZ. too hot to bake) and sweet treats he enjoys. This is the first time I ordered these Pastel Licorices for my dad. We both love these.I opened them to put them in a nice canister I purchased for him and found them to be stale and hard. Did not taste good. The local candy store whom normally carries them but was out of them - have always had fresh and with a soft chew to them.I will be returning them for a credit. 7.24.23 - Marin County, CADissapointed. : - ( They were to be a gift for my dad.

I like pastel licorice more than the thicker "good and plenty" style - and this brand meets my expectations. Great brand.

These pastels were fairly expensive, though they were fairly good. I have tried a number of distributors for licorice pastels. The coating was fairly consistent and shiny, while the licorice was well flavored. There was some kind of "run" on licorice pastels where I couldn't get them from my regular supplier, which prompted my Amazon search.
