Teeny tiny! Smaller than you can imagine!
Smaller than I honestly expected, even though the measurements are perfectly described/correct.I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because although it says sanded so you can write with pencil, the cut of the wood goes through softer and harder grains, and the softer fibres have been removed, so you end up with a bumpy/grooved surface that grabs and guides your pencil along the grain, rather than allow it to make the letters naturally. So you end up writing like a 5 year old on the markers!

Ideal for seedlings
Ideal for labelling seedling pots in the greenhouse as standard lolly sticks are generally too big.

Diddy
Had to laugh. I was so excited when these arrived but when I opened them found they were so tiny they weren’t worth the box they came in. Note to self. Read the description!!

Impractically rough and small
These are very tiny plant labels, 5cm x 0.5cm. Although they feel nice and smooth, when you try to write on them with a pencil they are very ‘bumpy’ and it is tricky to write legibly. A marker pen seems to write easier – but then it’s harder to fit enough letters on the stick.Overall – nice cute idea, but impractical and priced ridiculously high.

Ridiculously small
I assumed these would be the same size as the usual wooden seed labels - they are not. These are tiny - so tiny as to be completely useless. They are about 2" long and less than the width of my small finger nail. I have neat handwriting but I found it impossible to write anything useful on these little chips - even had I been able to write something useful/sensible, I wouldn't have been able to read it easily. At least they are wooden so I can add them to the compost heap!

Best for seedlings
Tiny little labels, ideal for seedlings. I used a ballpoint pen to write on them, since a pencil would have been too thick. They are small, so ideal for pots, less so in the ground.

For small seed pots
I sometimes start seeds off in very small pots, and have always felt the usual plant labels are too big, and a waste. These are perfect. They are small so not much room for writing, but they are just so you can identify what is in each pot - so I just put initials on them. If you need small labels for small pots these are perfect, if you need something bigger - buy something bigger.

Very small and thin, hard to write much text
I like the idea of the wooden label markers but the reality is that these are too small. The photo shows the size in relation to 2 x 20p coins. It allows for just a single line of text. Might be ok if you just grow one type of each vegetable, but if you grow different varieties there is no chance to be able to write the name and type of veg.I will endeavour to use them but would not get these again. Might have to either colour code or letter number combination for ease of use. It might have been better if the manufacturer increased the width and reduced the number so that the same amount of wood is used per box.
