Great product for the price
Came in 2 pieces plus the bracket. Easy to assemble with the included screw driver it came with. The board was clean and free from defects. Held 5 large knives side by side on one side. Both sides are magnetic and holds all the knives I tried very well. The base is sturdy and solid. Looks great and preforms as described

Great Aesthetic, Underwhelming Functionality
This is a beautiful knife block that does a poor job of actually holding knives. The assembly was easy and the piece makes a great paperweight, but as a knife holder it leaves much to be desired. I have a nice set of really light knives with aluminum handles and this knife block doesn’t hold on to a single one consistently or well. The steak knives will lightly stick, but the actual kitchen knives won’t stick in the least. Severely underpowered, which is a shame because this block is otherwise very good looking.

Works with most knives but...
This countertop knife holder is exactly what I needed in my small kitchen. The cabinets are fairly low to my countertop and I couldn't commit to those wall mounted magnetic knife strips. The dimensions of this knife holder was perfect for my needs. This was really easy to setup out of the box. They include a screwdriver for the three screws needed to attach the metal base. The finish on the wood is decent; I couldn't find any flaws. But I did notice that it's fairly soft. Depending on the way you remove knives from the board, they can scratch the surface easily. Not a big deal if you have fully populated the board where you don't see much of the surface scratches. The marks are generally vertical like the knife blades so you probably won't notice. I'd prefer the surface be softer than the knives anyways so it doesn't scratch the blades. Just an observation. Your opinion on this may differ. I found that the best way to prevent scratches is to twist the knife handle so that the back of the blade is still contacting the board and then pull slightly downward and toward you so that the point of the knife is the last to leave the board. The magnet that holds the knives is a good compromise between ease of release and power to hold a wide variety of knives. I have four Wustof knives and a few of the popular heavy handled, "japanese steel" knives sold here on Amazon.com on it. The Wustof knives are planted firmly on the board, while the other brands (pictured), have a little more heft to the handles that cause them to slide down a bit making it easy to release the knife if accidentally bumped. This occurs mostly with the smaller paring knives, because they don't have much blade surface to firmly hold to the magnetic strip under the wood surface.Having said all that, this brings me to my last observation that made me buy another brand/style of counter top knife holder. The heavier paring/slicing knives sometimes fall if bumped or improperly placed back on the board... well, since the base is metal, one of my knives dropped to the base and ruined the tip. It snapped the very sharpest point and is slightly blunt now. I have since moved all my steak knives to this board and relocated it to a different spot in my kitchen. No issues with this board anymore.I found another countertop knife holder that has a wooden base to counter this situation. It's similar in magnetic strength and still has the potential to drop the smaller/heavy knives, but since the base is wood, the knives won't get damaged. I'm sure this scenario will not be an issue for most people if the knives are 5" and up, but just be careful if you have small, but heavy paring/slicing knives.I hope this information has been helpful to someone 🙂

LOVE!!! Sleek, Functional, Aesthetically Pleasing
I had a knife block on my counter that took up so much space. I wanted to have the knives out and not in a drawer but was tired of the huge block taking up precious, limited counter space. This knife display is beautiful and functional. The knives really stick - all sizes and easy to pull off. The design is sleek and takes up virtually no room. Love it so much I am buying a couple as Christmas gifts.

Ok for price
Looks good but roughly made. Also self assembly required on this one.I bought 2 for xmas presents, one out of the box was scratched and chipped.. I would go for the more expensive block in future..

Stylish and functional
This is a very nice way to store our good kitchen knives that keeps them close at hand but still safer than in a drawer. We don't have a lot of storage space in our kitchen so this is a great way to free up the drawer a bit. They stay firmly against the board but come off without much trouble when pulled firmly or twisted. Ours seemed to be missing the screws to attach the base to the board but we just had a couple lying around that worked fine.

Quality knife block at a good price
This knife block is solid and heavy duty. The base is a heavy metal that is sturdy and securely stands on its own, it doesn’t budge when removing a knife. The magnets within the wood are strong and effective and securely hold larger knives; steak knives and similarly small knives don’t seem to get enough magnetic grip and don’t stick as well. Unfortunately, the wooden board arrived with a noticeable chip in the surface.Thank you for reading my review, I hope it was helpful!

First day right after I opened it up :)
I didn’t even get to use the product, broke right upon opening and assembly. Barely tried to bend it into a different position as I didn’t like the angle it came and it snapped with little force. It is very thin metal where it is bent to hold the knife block.
