You need to buy as ceiling mount to opener bracket is the best. My power outlet is in ceiling. App instruction/download required, no manual all online. . Easy to follow. Took 19 minutes to learn and mount on ceiling.

This is great to have to monitor the status of you garage. I left for work in a haste one morning and forgot to put my door down. My neighbor texted me after I had arrive at the job and I had no way to put it down. My nephew told me about this. I purchased and it installed so easily since I got the bracket along with it. I know at all times whether or not my door is opened or closed. The bonus...I can have my amazon packages dropped off inside my garage. No more asking neighbors to get my packages off the porch if I'm not home. I LOVE IT!

See photos: This bracket is fantastic and does what it is supposed to if you make a few changes. First the push pins that attach the myQ backplate to the bracket do not tighten enough which leaves the myQ loosely attached to the bracket and it vibrates when the garage opener runs. I used #6 x3/4” screws and #6 nylock nuts to attach the backplate to the bracket which is now secure. I also added a washer between the plastic hand nut and the bracket to avoid damage to the nut. The sensor comes with Velcro to attach to the garage door but it is also built to use screws as well (just remove the back like you have to do to change the battery) this is much more secure. Overall this is a great accessory for your myQ

I always would forget to close garage or have doubt if I closed the garage so I purchased this product an now I can check it from the app or open or close it from anywhere great product

I didn't need to drill holes in the wall or ceiling with this inexpensive mounting bracket. Works perfectly as advertised

It was easy to mount to the sensor but it could be better to mount to rails. If it had an L shape at the top of the mounting bracket it could easily be mounted in more ways.

Took about ten minutes to install.

Simple mount, easy solution. Worth the purchase to avoid the frustration try to rig up some other mounting hardware.

Installed in about 10-15 min, works great. Can monitor, open and close garage from hours away.Camera in the garage is a good idea to pair with this product. Something aftermarket though, My Q cameras are too expensive.

One receptacle in our garage was used to power our irrigation system and our MyQ hub. I bought an electric wheelchair that needs to be charged. I don't want to use an extension cord for the wheelchair charger. The receptacle on the ceiling that supplies power to the garage door opener motor now also supplies power to our MyQ hub. This little holder is a perfect solution. No tools are required. The lengthy cord is wrapped around the bracket as suggested in the instructions.

Holds the garage door controller for my Q in an easy to mount place, keeps it looking neat.

A bit pricy but no drilling and hanging cords so it's good!

Works as advertised but was too expensive for what it is I could have made one for a quarter of the price.
