Don't worry, Be happy!
Found this for my 2003 Isuzu Ascender with the 4.2. The dreaded P0420 code surfaced and my car due to go through emissions testing at the end of the month. Many parts for this car interchange with the Trailblazer, so I called a Chevy dealership to get an idea. Price quoted was for a direct fit OEM part for converter and pipe connecting to the exhaust manifold...$1595!!! It is illegal to buy used ones from a junkyard thanks to Uncle Sam. Found others for anywhere from $250 - $400, but car has 261,000 miles on it so didn't want to spend that kind of money on it. Eastern Catalytic was very helpful in assuring me that it would fit and had it installed along with upstream and downstream oxygen sensors. Car running better than it has in years and the P0420 is nowhere to be seen! Had this cat and both sensors installed for less than price of cheapest direct fit! Only bad thing for me is it is cheaper on here now than when I got it last week!

Has only one heat shield
I did much research in trying to find the identical replacement for the original cat I have on my exhaust (in the 2nd picture). The exhaust maker wouldn't give the number up, but I found out the 93166's CPSI is 400 from Eastern. This is the only cat who's heat shield pattern matches that of my original in the second picture. I looked at this picture of the Eastern 93166 on Amazon for a good while and determined it appears to have a double heat-shield on this catalytic converter. But when I received it, it is only shielded on one side. I was hoping to replace the one I have with the identical replacement. It will likely function just fine as it only requires the shield on one side, but it isn't accurately represented as you can see in the first picture with the arrows. I will update and the review later once installed.
