Im in pest control and need to correctly identify tiny insects. Sometimes the only difference between two insects is how many segments the antenna have, or maybe one of them has a club antenna. I can usually differentiate using a magnifying app on my phone, but its difficult holding the phone perfectly still while trying to take a picture. This product solves that issue for me. Yes I can magnify just as much with my phone, but with this I have a stand to hold it steady and i can snap a picture with no movement. Great product and a good value for the money. The insects in the picture are less than a 16th of an inch long and thats full magnification. Nice clear picture, it does what I need it to do.

I bought this so I could get a better look at my bevel and apex when sharpening knives. It's taken a little while - but after playing with it for a while - it's clearly very versatile. I bought the microscope and stand - but after trying to get the stand to work for what I'm doing - I've found it easier to just hold it against the subject by hand. That way the focus point is always the same and the light is always perfect. And I can simply rotate the device around the subject to get it at different angles and it works great. I haven't figured out the zoom feature - if it even has it. It's not obvious if you can zoom in and out somehow. But that doesn't matter to me because whatever zoom it's at is perfect for what I'm doing. The dial on the microscope does a good job allowing you to focus on what you need to be looking at. Then you can take pictures with it which are copied to your photo album on your tablet or phone. I use my tablet and downloading the app was easy. Lots of power for the money. Very cool to have around if you have any need for something like this. And you never know. Tonight - I stripped out a torx head screw but it was too small and deep to see the damage with the naked eye. I got this out - plugged it into my tablet - pressed the nose right up on the screwhead and looked at the details of the damage. I took some pictures and sent them to my friends to show them what an idiot I am. Sometimes you need something that will do that. If I happen to stumble upon a zoom feature and figure it out - I'll go back out here and edit my comments. But I'm happy with what I have now.

It's value for money I would say and zooming and brightness is very good I would recommend it

Product was as stated in the description. It was easy to set up and worked very well. Good value for the money. Took pictures, image quality was good.

Very disappointed in the microscope.. was expecting a better quality .. very hard to focus the lens.. and the magnification could be better ..image quality was disappointing ..

I use this to see trichomes on my buds. works really well and gets good images. sucks you have to download a chinese app tho. or really an app at all

I thought I would get fancy and use this instead of the loupe to view the trichomes on my cannabis plants , but it turned out to be a mistake. Why the 3 star review? The plastic dome is too long, you have to literally press this against the buds to get a close up in focus view, and therefore end up immediately with sticky resin all over it that you cannot see through and its a pain in the ass to clean. Also, whoever at the factory put the QC sticker barcode on the tip of this should be castrated. I never could get all the sticker gum off even using rubbing alcohol and ended up with scratches on the lens trying to do so. And if you want one of these for cannabis, there is a 3rd gripe which really is no fault of the product but you have to hold this in one hand, your phone in the other hand, and it makes it very difficult to use since you no longer have a free hand to hold onto the buds when you try to press this against it to view them or move things around. To its credit, however, I viewed aphids on my plants using this and they showed up pretty good so it wasn’t all wasted. I went back to my loupe for trichome views and use this to look for pests on the leaves. But knowing what I know now I would not buy this again for what I had planned on

I love the idea of this but my hands were too shaky for the camera to focus. It zooms in real close which is good. I just shake too much. The quality was surprisingly nice for the price and it was super easy to use. You can use it for plants or coins....art....anything. its super cool for kids. They could zoom in on anything if they just stood still enough. It was easy to hook up to my phone. Super clear instructions. Compatible with anything or anyone really. I ended up getting one that had a stand attached to it but i miss this one.
