Compact radio with decent sound (small speaker isn't going to give you bass for music, but it's loud enough and very clear) and pulls in stations well. Straight-forward controls and backlit display. About the size of a small paperback book. Can be used to turn on at a scheduled time, so it's a alarm clock, too. In short, a very good little travel radio.

This radio is well worth your effort. Compared to other units, you will not be disappointed. It is 100% digital so there is no worry about a thumbwheel volume control wearing out. The speaker is amazing with excellent audio quality and at 1 watt output, no discernable distortion. The same goes for the STEREO headphone jack (provided you use quality headphones). As for power, I am using (4) Kentli AA rechargeables as they maintain 1.5 volts until fully discharged. Do not use "super heavy duty" as these are the outdated Zinc/Carbon types. Rather, use Alkaline. There is also a 6-volt DC input jack for a wall transformer but is not supplied. Sensitivity is comparable to other radios with the ccrane or sangean nameplates. Works well with homemade loop antennas as shown on youtube.

The only drawback is it uses batteries very fast.
